I just got my first laptop yesterday. I stayed up all night writing new content for sites and sending out emails to potential design clients. For some reason, I have a feeling of 'professionalism' with the laptop. Anyone else ever expierence this with their first laptop?

its because your penis is small

"not quite average" i think your sig meant to read

you've seen his penis? ...

That scares me.

To answer the OP, I've had a few laptops but my last one I bought for work did seem more professional maybe I'm just maturing as a professional but I doubt it. Cheers.

I have an old laptop that I kind of use, but now that Apple accepted monthly payment option for the Macbook Pro, I will be getting that soon. I can't wait :)

I wish I had a laptop.. HAH! I can buy a rly old one I have fixed up for my uncle for $50, but I don't see the use for it yet, only because I'm still in school! I am looking at buying his computer when he gets a new one for $50 to experiment with.. Maybe like Linux and some other stuff:)

I just got my first laptop this summer. I don't know how much more professional it made me feel, but it sure as hell made me more productive. Having the ability to work no matter where you go is a real convenience.

It's nice to be able to bring something to client meetings. You can edit stuff right in front of them and take notes.

Wickedfire helps me get laid everyday..because of threads like this!

and for OP, yeah laptops are teh shit.

I bought a IBM Thinkpad labtop a while ago, before I used a desktop. I don't know if it's more professional, for sure labtops are cool I think. But also today's desktops are great with their flatscreens! I like my labtop a lot, because I can move around with it in my house and still have everywhere internet access (because of a wireless router). This is specially handy when you need to keep an eye on your kids (my son is only 2 years old) & at the same time want to work on your computer! ;)

been using my vaio for awhile now, currently on my 2nd one.. thinking about replacing it with a macbook pro, only thing that holds me back is that i have a load of smaller programs that i use everyday that will only run on windows..

im guessing maybe check out bootcamp and parallels, might do the trick.

I hope to get a lap top next year, I can get rid of the paper and pen when I have to stay up for an overnight at work. Definately would make me more productive. Professional may have to wait!

I'm not interested in chicks like Mindstyle, but if it can get me a man and if, like for Palmerviller, it will make my legs hot....well.....I might have to put in some more hours to make it happen sooner!
