Is there such thing as a webmaster "industry standard" IM client?

Using trillian since I during my first professional web job the company was forced to be available across different clients. It supports ICQ, AIM, MSN, Yahoo and is just sweet.
The logging (plain text file for each contact) saved my sorry butt more than once.

I have to clarify my initial post. I am running Trillian but with only ICQ and YIM installed.

Yeah, true. I actualy have an ICQ account, but I never use it. I might go ahead and add it to Trillian, not like it hurts to have.

MSN on OS X. I rarely use IM, so I don't have any need to change.

Same as Michael I usually only use MSN to talk to my brother in Australia. Skype kicks ass.

I use MSN primarily as well as AIM and Google Talk for a few contacts. I am using the awesome Adium for Mac OS X. I have also dabbled in Gizmo and Skype.

Never tried anything else besides MSN. There wouldn't be a point in changing too because MSN is the standard over here.

Trillian for all three here. Seems like I have friends that only use one of the three so trillian makes it nice and easy

really depends on who i need to talk to - i don't keep any of them on by default, but have almost all of them installed just in case

skype is the best for conference calls, but it definately eats some bandwidth

got a nice low ICQ number - 1855130 anyone else have 7 digits or less?

I use MSN but hate it with a passion. It just slows down the pc too much so I tend to turn it off!
