Zimmerman arrested for 2nd degree murder!

A child killer finally gets what he deserves. My faith in humanity is getting restored.

Funny how if a 12 year old commits a crime in Florida he hets tried as an "adult", but when a 17 year old is the victim of a crime in Florida he is designated as a "child".

Still No Plea Deal for 12-Year-Old Murder Suspect Cristian Fernandez in Florida | Fox News

I think you got suckered in by the media hype. A 17 year old is NOT a child and calling this a "child killing" is horribly wrong to those families that actually have had a real child killed.

Protective custody. Same with child molesters, everybody thinks they get turned into bitches when they go to prison, but the truth is the only people getting fucked in prison are the people that want to get fucked when they go to prison.

lol start watching Lockup...

Either way this will end it wont be pretty.

Trust UG on this one.

And for perspective, in terms of mowing down "kids," Zimmerman has nothing on these guys:

He said it was a shame what happened to the kid. Not sure how that comment implies guilt for anyone.

Did you actually read his ENTIRE statement on this case? What you quoted was but a small piece of what our President said.

Surely your not that dense that you can't understand the ramifications of his remarks.

I'm not a politician, and I never finished law school because of the draft. That being what it is I do know that our President did not pick the best words for his remark. Actually he should have kept his mouth shut on this.

However the best thing he could have said might sound something like this:

"It is sad that a young man has lost his life in Southern Florida. I have complete trust that the local law enforcement community will handle this in a professional manner."

Not a federal crime, so why is the DOJ involved?

I assume because it suits their broader interests. Obama and his lapdog Holder are both race-motivated. When you run the country, you get to use the resources you've stolen to try to get your way.

Besides, if I were Holder, I'd be doing everything possible to erase the memory of Fast and Furious. lol

When it became a federal matter and national issue it became ok for the President to chip in.

The president didn't say anything in my opinion to suggest that he thought Zimmerman was guilty. He was just comforting the parents. Do you know how many million people signed the petition before the guy was eventually charged.

The stand your ground law is funny one. I'm just waiting to see how the prosecutor will go about proving the second degree murder charge. If they can prove it was racially motivated along with the evidence in the 911 calls, Zimm will definitely get his ass handed to him.

I think he really murdered the kid but that's for the justice system to figure out.

I personally think that the 2nd degree murder charge is a ploy to "quiet the crowd". They don't want a race war down here and the longer this gets drawn out the better. They just need to let it sit and now that he's arrested, all the people against him don't have anything to complain about. I personally think that when the time is right, that the charges will be dropped down to manslaughter and that he'll do some type of easy plea deal with special conditions. Just my two cents.

This case is very problematic. None of us *really* know what happened that night, and people are rushing to judgment. I suspect that the truth may lie somewhere in the middle, and that neither party was 100% innocent. But who knows.

In any case, I would like to hear more of the evidence before making a judgment.
