Why are so many people here getting robbed? Don't any of you use such things as MasterCard SecureCode, Verified by Visa etc?
Those are both UK only systems. They haven't even got chip and pin in the States yet.
That sucks (you walked right into this one).
Chase bank finally dropped my iTunes charges totaling hundreds after two months of grappling with customer support. There's never any follow up, which leaves me wondering if they ever track down the perps who commit credit card fraud.
dunno about the states, but here they cancel all charges right away and THEN investigate, gotta love Canadian banking system
Once had my wallet stolen, they made several purchases at almost every Meijers store around the area. I even had in big ass black bold sharpie "SEE ID" on the back... and not a single store did. Was approximately 900 in fraudulent charges. And this was of course back before they all started getting those self-checkout aisles.
Found out who did it though, was my neighbor at the time, broke into the house and stole a few items plus my wallet right next to where I was sleeping.
