You may very well be right. However, the point is that the Dr. only sent me the recommendation after the fact via an email. This is NYC so the overnights are irrelevant. I would have felt a lot better keeping him overnight knowing that I did everything I could.

I find this hard to believe. Vets are money making machines. They find any and all ways to hit you up for charges and yes, they have a software that does all that. By default they would have hit you up for keeping it around for observation for another day and hit you up for another healthy round of charges.

OPs, the best thing you can do is simply tell all your pet owning friends about what happened. Our friends had a very similar situation happen to them here in Spain, and now all of their friends are telling their friends (and so on and so forth) about what happened and advising everyone they know to never take their animals there. Word of mouth if a very powerful thing. Use it.

I think doctors and vets are way to overrated. They do not have the power to heal they are not god they are nothing. Our government grants them such a big power that kills our loved ones and even if it is their fault they are excused from it.
