My Year Of "Work At Home" Reflection

This.

As gay as this sounds, I didn't know what life & genuine happiness was until this happened to me.

Yep, agree with this.

Here's a quick guide:

1. Read "Man's search for meaning." (takes about 2 hours)
2. Realize that if Victor Frankl can find purpose & structure in his life in a Nazi concentration camp, you have a decent chance of managing to do it working from home.
3. Go find something challenging to do. And stop surfing cam sites. Watching unemployed people masturbating in public for small change is possibly the most depression-inducing pastime you could conceive of.
4. ??????
5. Be happy.

OP: You need some soul food man.

Lazy ass!

I know it's a stupid line your parents would say but "do you have any idea how many people in this world would kill to be in your shoes?"!

* Go volunteer somewhere
* Get a girlfriend, they always change your life somehow
* Invest into something you NEED to look after and be more reactive if you can't be proactive right now.
* Join the 'big brother' program help a kid out, it will humble you and make you realize wutyougot.
* Do some 'good' with your money for karma, sponsor some kids, help out a cause, etc.
* This one is extreme but fuck it: Put all the money away except 10K, for everything - your life/biz/fun. Pretend you don't have it again, how would you live? what would you do to hustle this time? Your money will not last forever mark my words. I was in a similar boat and my dead time/phase lasted 5+ years before almost losing my last red cent and getting a fire under my ass like I never had again...

One thing is for sure - you do need a change if you recognize your own plateau/funk.

G'luck

Smax could not have said it better. The only way you learn in life is to experience. Go make mistakes, reflect on them. After a while, you'll find yourself a much wiser person.

lol my situation was almost identical to yours except I didn't make my monies with rebills. But regardless, I know how you feel. For me, I've been partying like a mother fucker. It's kind of made me remember why I worked so hard... because the reality is having money is fucking awesome. I'm actually getting a little tired of that though and starting to work more again. Maybe you just need to have some fun to remember why you went into business for yourself in the first place.

Also, I've started going to as many conferences/events as I can. The main reason for going isn't just to "make more money". It's a hell of a lot of fun, you can make new friends, and you'd be surprised how motivating and inspiring it can be. You'll realize that this is definitely the right industry to be in... you just gotta get to that next step and get out of your home. Start a network, or become an advertiser. Do something BIG. You won't be sitting alone all day in your house if you take it to the next level, I guarantee you that.

So I guess my advice would be to.. have some fun and enjoy the monies you've worked for. (just don't let coke/hookers become a habit lol) And start going to conferences and other type of events. Affcon Miami is dec 8-10th. You should go.

Forget anything else, with that diet and routine your headed for quadruple bypass in the near future.

I think the fact that you admit you watch Oprah and Dr. Phil for "campaign ideas" is telling. That pretty sums it up dude. No serious affiliate or business owner watches that bullshit every day for "campaign ideas." As others have said, you're just a lazy fuck sheeple who happened to make some easy money pushing scam offers. If you have any sense at all, you'd save/invest whatever money you have left because if you haven't figured shit out by now, chances are you never will and you'll be back working for the man soon.

thats hArsh

are you making any real money?

the reason I ask is the guys making a couple mill a year at this never seem to fall into this rut i see all the time with IM guys. however, the guys making like 30k-80k a year I DO see fall into this all the time.

what is making $81k - $199,999,999 considered?

I think it has less to do with how much you make vs the lifestyle you want. You can make $80k a year and live in an area with cheap housing and low cost of living and be made. that's one of the good things about working on the internet, you can work from anywhere.

Like everyone said, sounds like your just a a lazy focker. You got enough money tolast 10 years huh? How about you travel the world, work out of another country, learn a language, just get involved in something other than the useless shit your doing.

get up and have light breakfast
I drop my kid to school
pick him up
lunch
check stats and work on campaigns
play with my son
surf on wickedfire+ other stuff
work on campaigns

work on campaigns + talk to AMs
watch TV or movies

Need to add the gym to the list (i stopped the gym about a year back)

Excellent post but theres pros and cons to both - we love working from home when the kids arent around - when they are its different kettle of fish!
