My sleep schedule is so messed up

try being up at 630am every morning no matter what time you go to sleep
This is true pain right there...
Since I am job hunting now (grrr), the above makes me bleed on the inside :uhoh2:

Mine is pretty messsed up. I stay awake for 18 hours, then sleep for 9 hours. So everyday I wake up ~3 hours later than the day before.
This is my ideal schedule, I think. Never managed to actually put this into practise, since other members of the household kept compalining :angryfire:

One day, however...

I'm sure I posted about this a long time ago. I constantly cycle through staying up later and later by about an hour or two each night until I have to stay up all day to reset my sleep schedule. Goes something like go to bed at 10pm and stay up for 18 hours and sleep for 7 for 2 weeks and then force myself to stay up all day to do it again.

It sucks ass and sometimes I manage to keep a regular schedule for a couple of weeks but once I start staying up a little later each night, that's it... the cycle begins again.

Same here. My ideal schedule is to get up around 8am and go to sleep at 1-2am. I usually manage to keep that up for a week or two, then all of a sudden it's 5am or later and I'm still working. How did that happen. The only way for me way to get out of that cycle is to stay up for 30 hours and reset.

The problem is that I often can't find a good point to actually stop working and go to bed. I think many people without a 'day job' have that problem... no one there to kick your ass away from the desk, unless you have a gf/wife/kids or live in your mom's basement.

Today I woke up at 4pm, yesterday I woke up at noon, the day before I woke up at 9am, etc.

It's messed up, but it's awesome. I'm awake until I'm tired, and then I sleep until I'm not tired.

lol, same here

4am finishes for me lately and its getting me down so I've taken to scheduling sports activities I enjoy doing with friends at 10am a couple of mornings a week so I've got something I look forward to and give me a reason to have a couple of nights a bit earlier.

Start running, I had the same issue until I started running. Go run, get tired, sleep.

It also improved my overall state a lot, plus I don't scare myself anymore when looking at the mirror in the morning.

My sleep schedule is fucked and changes on a daily basis. I woke up at 6pm today. lmao

Yeah sounds like it's melatonin imbalance or your circadian rhythms shift, happens to me too. I try to get some real UV rays everyday if I can help it otherwise I end up feeling like a twilight character.

pot also might help

Smoking one joint of marijuana...can increase melatonin levels in the body 4000 percent.

Smoke a joint. And make sures it some good indica. Wait an hour or two, and you'll be falling asleep.

you think your sleep patterns are messed up. I got up at midnight today, its now 4pm. I am on New York time today (I live in Australia), was testing a US campaign.
my schedule changes day to day, I work til I feel I'm done, ie too tired to keep going, then wind down for a bit with a dvd or beer.. mostly crash between 6am and 10am, but it could be whenever really.
I like the night.

I just need 7 hours sleep, can go a week 5am - 1pm then change to 12am to 7am and not feel it.. don't get jet lag any more when travelling which is probably bad because my body clock must be fucked!
