GoDaddy is saying .Co is the new .Com...

We can't say for a fact that anything will or will not spread. What we are trying to do is make reasoned arguments for one side or another.

I have provided examples of TLDs that failed as a historic framework for the conversation. Your response was that this one will grow virally because it was advertised by GoDaddy. I told you that the other failed TLDs were are also originally advertised by GoDaddy. Your response was "well we just don't know."

If your claim is that something could happen, then you're betting on everything, because anything could happen. Instead you should be betting on things that have some logical argument behind them. So far, you don't have any logical argument.

The strange ways people chose to express their jealousy of those with a formal education astounds me.

Doesn't matter what school you go to. You are wasting your fucking time getting an internet marketing degree. The funny thing is you probably get the warm and fuzzies every time you go to class thinking your gonna be tearin it up once you graduate.

Good luck with your degree in how to get facebook likes and cause twitter hysteria. Don't trip though at least you'll have a really cool piece of paper to wipe your ass with.

You are misunderstood. I do not learn about how to get facebook likes, and causing twitter hysteria. Have we dabbled?, yes, but that is to be aware of the subject at hand. We basically have classes that we take, and we get ebooks, we watch videos, we have online group meetings, learn how to collaborate online, like creating projects, from different states. In my opinion, this is way better then just learning fresh online, by ones self. Over the courses, you have 15+ teachers, all keeping up to date with what's going on in the world. They are not dumb, by no means necessary, and I feel like I am way farther, and have learned so much more in Full Sail (yes I do attend Full Sail), then I could have on my own. It's not just about getting likes on Facebook, these courses, take you in from start to finish, and create a whole new world. I do not claim to be an expert, I just feel like certain things should be thought out, before they are judged. And I did not find out about Full Sail online. A Full Sail rep came to my school last year, and I thought it was amazing. Whereas I may not have a job, when I get out of Full Sail, I will be in pursuit of self-employment anyway. After all, that is the dream isn't it.

I told you the uniqueness I found in post #75.

Most of the people that I was watching the game with asked that question after the commercial.

GoDaddy must be seeing results, or they would not keep putting these types of commercials on the air. They are not at the top of their game, because they waste money in advertising. Probing the advertising here-- maybe, GoDaddy does it, because it brings in the people only curious about GoDaddy's claims, and when the consumer finds out GoDaddy is so much more then they expected, they become a dedicated user, and talk about it to their friends. I know so many people who wish they knew how to make a website, and if people are attracted by this website commercial, they are more likely to check it out, for the 9.99, or whatever the price is on the commercials.

The uniqueness I find in this, is how they are claiming that it will be better then .com

Can you please provide a link where GoDaddy claimed .co will be better than .com?

Moreover, can you please explain why anyone should believe that claim, when we all agree GoDaddy has financial incentive to sell as many domains as possible?

I told you the uniqueness I found in post #75.

But it's not true... You're just making it up. It's not even something that is opinion. It's just objectively false. They didn't say that.

In all honesty I was making fun of you, but you at least seem motivated so I'm gonna throw you a bone.

Full Sail is useless. I underlined it for emphasis. I promise you that the material they are covering could be learned in a week doing some digging in this forum and doing some searches on the googles.

If you really want to keep attending a "school", then at least do yourself a favor and start learning some real shit on the side.

How many .co commercials has GoDaddy put on the air? How long have their been airing them?

Also, do you realize there is not a strong correlation between GoDaddy selling domains and the success of the extension? GoDaddy sold a lot of .mobi and the extension is dead. They are advertising because they believe it will make them money, not because .com is going anywhere.

It's in my original post. It's one of the youtube videos from the Superbowl commercial. I said in my first post what number video it was.

I'm not saying, they're continuing .co commercials from previous ones. I'm saying they are continuing their provocative, mysterious commercials, that must be drawing attention.

I know you were, but It's necessary for you to see the side I'm coming from. I know what's going through your mind, because I had the same doubts when I first was introduced to this online adventure. What you have to understand, is it is not the same, I will not try to convince you anymore, but in 2 years, when I've graduated, we could have run the two same campaigns, and I bet mine would be more successful, by far. I do not say this to gloat. i say this because my mind is more open, and I will learn so much more in the coming months, then I could possibly learn on my own. It's not jsut the marketing aspect, it's everything involved in marketing, both physical, and online. between business diagram approaches, or just writing what's on ur mind and monetizing it. There are so many different aspects to online marketing, and there is no way one person can open them up to themselves, especially when a new idea is presented, and a whole forum shuts them down.

Okay this incidence might describe what godaddy is (it happened just 12 hours ago):-

[FONT=arial, sans serif]What the fuck is happening. You are just replying the same shit everytime. is there any human being in godaddy?

Danica and I are thrilled to announce the new GoDaddy.co girl. She's a hot hollywood icon and .co is the hottest new domain.

She's smart, she's business savvy, just watch her register that .co web address. So who is this household name and new GoDaddy.co girl?

Is it hot in here, or is it just me?

It's in my original post. It's one of the youtube videos from the Superbowl commercial. I said in my first post what number video it was.

But they didn't say that. They said it's the hottest new domain extension.

From Wikipedia: .CO Internet received the re-delegation approval as the manager of the .co TLD by ICANN on December 9, 2009, and received formal confirmation of the request by the United States Department of Commerce on December 23, 2009.

.co - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's true, .co was opened up to American registration very recently.
