Oh my God that was awesomely funny

Let me take a stab at what you mean by sleep paralysis...

One time I was just tired as fuck and I was just lying on the couch on my front.

For 10 seconds I was awake but paralyzed, I couldn't do ANYTHING. My brother was right next to me, and I was trying so hard to scream "help" but I couldn't get the words out. I tried moving my arms, anything, but I just couldn't move. Those 10 seconds felt like eternity and I literally felt like dying.

Now, thank god that was only 10 seconds. If that shit lasted even a minute, I think I would have gone insane.

I'm a stoner and I think it's pretty cool to have a couchlock, but that sleep paralysis shit was a lot different....

Sounds like it. I've never had it with people around, and I always keep my eyes closed anyway, I have no interest in terrifying hallucinations. It used to happen to me a lot when I was really young -- and didn't know what it was. I would wake up, be unable to move, hear footsteps, I'd hear my name and some freaky ass other noises (sounds like your room is filled with a bunch of people whispering) and freak the fuck out - except I couldn't scream or move for like 10-15 seconds.

Interestingly enough, I had another "episode" where there was a little fuckin' demon (looked like E.T.) dude sitting on my chest, and he started smacking me in the face until I came out of it. It was awful. I don't think there's really anything that compares....lol

LOL one of th links brought up ad 503 service unavailable. But just below the error message:
Guru Meditation: XID: 969408618
So is the server a Commodore Amiga?

Obscure Historical Note: The oft-crashing Amiga OS spat out Guru Meditation numbers whenever it lost its mind.

I've experienced this several times in my life. At first it was freaky as shit. Here's how you overcome it. Relax, don't panic, don't try to scream or move, or even open your eyes. Be calm, and try to fall back to sleep. If you can dip out even for a few minutes you will wake back up naturally. Works everytime for me know. I have "sleep paralysis" atleast twice a year, but I can snap out of it in just a few minutes now.

ya thats exactly what i do cheshire, usually takes about 30 seconds for it to go away. i can also feel when it's coming on, as well

ive had sleep paralysis (i think) and it was worse then anything i could have imagined.

yup, i've experienced that several times.

I DO NOT WANT TO EXPERIENCE IT EVER AGAIN.

My body is asleep but my brain is not.

scary as fuck.
