Life Hacks

LOVE THESE TIPS!

-That one about hacking your sleep sounds like it was written just for me... Thanks Alive and +Rep for posting this stuff!

I'm skeptical of the elevator "hack" - has anyone tried this?

I remeber this one for a while back. There are 2 main elevator manufacturers Otis and the other one. I am like 85% sure it works on the Otis elevators. If not its the other one. It definitly works though.

that lucid dreaming shit is NOT recommended. that's not how to do lucid dreaming that's how to get into fucking sleep paralysis, which is not only not entertaining, but probably one of the most terrifying experiences you can go through. the hallucinations you see are not cool by any means. just imagine the scariest fucking shit you can and that's whats going to happen. fuck sleep paralysis
Yeah sleep paralysis sucks a lot. I get it probably once a month and it is scary as shit.

With that being said I don't think it correlates that much with lucid dreaming. You can do lucid dreaming without having sleep paralysis and you can have sleep paralysis with lucid dreaming.

This one is AMAZING: http://i.imgur.com/d65Od.jpg

You can literally become a shark.
Does this actually work? I've seen people talk about it, but I'm curious is actual medical studies have been done to show that it works.

yea exactly - i don't think it's like lucid dreaming at all. also, its a weird thing -- even when you know what's going on, it's still pretty fuckin scary lol

The Sleep thing? Dunno but I AM going to find out.

(See what I did there? I told you all that I'm going to do something big myself... anyways...)

I have the exact 28-hour-a-day waking syndrome the author has on that sleep hack piece and I've known for many years that a 15 minute nap (exactly) is all I need most afternoons when I feel run down to recharge my batteries very well.

So I'm going to do it. 4 Hour days. 6 of them every time the earth spins once... This ought to be interesting, to say the least.

Bonus: 6 tiny meals a day will help my waistline bigtime, while brushing my teeth 6 quick times a day will surely be better than 2 long ones.

It's about to snow here in KC again (most of the blizzard snow is still on the ground) so I might be stuck indoors for a few days anyway. Perfect timing.

Wish me luck!

I have the 28 hour thing too, but I'm not sure I want to change it. I feel so well rested with my >24 hour sleep schedule and I'm not sure there's another way for me to feel just as well rested.

If there was more evidence that the 2 hour thing actually led to you feeling well rested I would give it a go. Just with so much stuff going on I can't afford to try it for a couple weeks and be incredibly tired because it wasn't working.

I would be interested in finding out if it worked for you, especially since I'm sure we suffer from the same circadian rhythm thing.
