I twas unbanned. Yes I started the "other" forum. Yes many of the members migrated from your forum due too
A) being banned or
B) being pissed about something or another on wickedfire.
I started the forum about 1 hour after your banning spree on IRC began and basically filled a void.
Some things that the new forum is based around:
1) private, only people with something to contribute are allowed in and only by invite.
2) Not for profit. The forum is only a networking and information sharing resource.
3) Not for drama, we have already quelled and made it clear that posts bashing you or anyone are not really neaded.
4) Not to make a name for ourselves. Me or my partners are not in this business to be respected in the industry or make a name for ourselves, mainly to make some money.
5)Share good shit with other members. That is already happening right now.
6)Avoid filling threads with stupid worthless scroll fodder posts.
7)Be as rasist towards Pakistani's, Arabs, Blacks, 1/2 asians, jews and amputees as possible.
This really aint a business move for me, its just a forum.

Then banned and threatened people who question your credibility.

You may have misunderstood. Premium section doesn't mean paid, just means "of high value" in a sense. It's still free.
For the donations, you can take my word that I won't dick a charity! I can also scan proof if I'm allowed to, which shouldn't be an issue.
I agree with Lerchmo.. Well Said.. Most people are looking for a Pvt board that can be shared and hidden from lurkers or the search engine. Something the community really needed.. a place where we can all share resources.. So far A++ for lerchmo cause it has tons of resources and we have all networked together and made the forum really good instead of being lost in threads and post. Jon your forum is full of quality information but i feel most people who shared that quality information have moved.

Hey Jon, good post... having a "loyalty" section will probably get lots of members (me included) off our asses to take the time to share a few more helpful little scripts or things we figure out. The really good posts take time to put together and lots of people with good stuff to say are probably just procrastinating on it 'til you give them a reason like this.
You spelled Speech wrong Jose.. Even so, WF now has new sections for exactly what you and Lerch just said above.
The only reason they were made now and not before is because everyone seemed to have think about it but not bring it up to us, so we had no way of knowing what people wanted or that people were unhappy. You can't expect me to read your minds if you aren't going to be vocal about an issue BEFORE something is done about it.
Wow, I'm semi-glad that I seemed to miss out this whole drama and "other forum" stuff.
The new changes to WF seem great, I think it was about time we all matured up and stopped bashing people just for being new or something.
As for the member loyalty section, I doubt I'll ever make it in there hahaha.

I don't know anything either Michel, but I'm guessing that when the staffs see you contributing nicely to the forums and helping out, they'll probably PM you and give you access to the private forums.
I don't think this is a forum for n00bs, as in what's arbitrage, whats wordpress, etc. There already is tons of forums for that. I come here to learn and read about affiliate marketing - its what this forum says it is.
isn't that done here? and with every person gone, new persons enter the room. i guess there had been some personality cult going around, but allowing that to happen is most often the real source of problems any forum can get into. a forum lives by the various generations of its members, that is the only thing ensuring survivial and growth. that is why its called a forum at all, and not a podium.
and in the end, it is anyways only dependent on your personal dedication and motivtation, how far you can make it. even if you will present all information on a silver platter, a minority of 0.1% will make it to the end. well, maybe 1%
you talk all the time like the people who have build the interweb have just left the party. well, reality check, they did not. the party is going on, the motto has changed a bit and now it is up to anyone to swing to the new grooves or to decide to move over to another club. that is how i understand it and i think it is a great idea.

I was merely getting rid of Engaged and a few others who I've had enough of with their bullshit posts and constant harassment/instigator crap. Yes, those are against the rules here.
Well, WF has every bit of that, including the new private areas meant for members who want more meaning without much clutter. Except for #7. Not sure if I can equally poke fun at arabs as I can with others.
I never made a dime from WF. Hell, Brandon and I never even too a salary or any payment from it! All the money has been from me, and all of the time spent has been from Brandon and I trying to make this place faster, and better, and more fun.
Yes, we want to make a name for WickedFire, which is in part why we had it Trademarked. We want to build it as a brand for webmasters/affiliates/adnetworks alike to recognize it as a cool place to have fun, relax and share information. Batman doesn't profit off of his symbol, but he has one, because how else will the evil villains of Gotham know who they are fucking with?
Let's get something straight here. I am the face of WF because I started it. And just like I told Chrislingle, I never meant to come off as anyone with a God complex, and am sorry about it too if anyone thought I was speaking down to them or without respect, because it's not true.
For credibility, I answered the list of silly questions (some of them), and still, even with the investigators coming over, or anything else really, no one believes me, or rather than assume I'm lying, and so far, I've only lied about ONE thing, and I admitted to it (lying to ConceptualMind on AIM) after being asked about it. Everything else, however bogus you may think it is, it's true. Time and time again, it's true, and the only thing some of you do is just go on to the next negative excuse you feel you can think of or throw at me. But that's between me and whoever has a problem with me, doesn't involve WickedFire one bit.
When some of you guys start bitching about the quality, well, let's take a step back and see who was responsible for it. Shit, I know I wasn't the only one taking part in it, but which few guys would ALWAYS start up? Can they be the banned ones? Why yes! They are! The quality doesn't go down because the owner is being hated on by some people, it goes down when members act like a bunch of children and idiots towards one another. Kind of like a free for all of bullshit. I'm sick of it, you're all sick of it, so instead of bitching, we are making a change, and you Lerch, and Lingle, and even Engaged are invited along to be apart of it. I am more than ready to settle my differences with everyone tomorrow, and I truly hope we can, because I've done EVERYTHING that was asked of me, and so far had nothing back in return.
So please, humor me and treat tomorrow as a serious conversation and not a mind fuck of nonsense.

We already have 2 volunteers ready to dedicate their own time to helping newbies with questions most everyone else would just find dumb and irritating.
I have absolutely no problem with newbies at well, but in my opinion if they're to lazy to use the search function and just ask the same question every newbie comes to ask here, they shouldn't even think about getting started in this business.
Also, I've noticed that lately the quality of the threads have gone down, you must've noticed that as well, people bashing others just for the heck of it, why not restrict that to shooting the shit forum, and let the marketing,traffic,content,etc. forums be used for their main purpose, share information and helping others make money.
Another problem I have, but you already pointed it out yourself, Jon, is the hype with the whole members area or whatever you like to call it, I'd like to see more action and less talk about it, I completely understand it takes alot of hard work to release something, but you should think about that before you post stuff like it's getting released on that date, just something to think about, no bashing.

I always liked the open and freestyle atmosphere here, but as the forum grew some people could not handle it. Some of the new people and some people who have been around a while.
