What is the simplest to implement and cheapest self hosted CMS script that I can implement on a client of mines site?

Basically they have a website that they want to be able to change certain aspects of the site themselves. They already have the site designed so something that can just kind of fit in would make life easiest.

Any suggestions?

It would be helpful if it had a self-editable photo gallery built in to....these idioits want to add their own photos all the time.

Try CushyCMS? It's nothing like wordpress or anything. but you just need to wrap div tags around what you want them to edit. They can manage pages, galleries, etc. I think its free too.

I'd suggest ahve their existing theme converted to Wordpress from some cheap developer in the BST section. Usually like $10-30/per page.

cushy looks kind of cool but its not self hosted = monthly fee = no good

I did my first Joomla project recently and I'll probably never look back. It's worth having to change the design if it comes to that. Install the right modules and they'll be able to upload pictures, use a WYSIWYG editor and all that good stuff.

With Joomla I hate how almost every decent plugin costs money - so many of the free ones are crippled. The developer community seems so different than the Wordpress and Drupal communities where there are thousands of completely free high quality plugins.
