Well, that's what I'm getting at Mr Guru.. The fact that it sounds simple, and great on paper, but in reality it doesn't work. You're claiming someone go this route and they'll make $1200/yr instantly just because of the PageRank? As if that is the only deciding factor that advertisers look at? Get off of your guru crackpipe and look at it from a realistic point of view..
A site with a PR4. Great.
How old is the site?
Old enough to get a PR4, which is usualy a minimum of 3 months and most likely, for the average webmaster who doesn't concentrate on SEO, 6-12 months.
What niche is it in?
You know yourself that that varies.
What type of traffic is it generating a day?
See answer to the previous question
Is it making more than $1200/yr with Adsense?
Obviously not, cause in my example, it was making $24 a year from the same space
There are lots of different variables for a site, and every site is different..
Obviously...
unless you're just referring to the cookie cutter sites you guys sell in 5000 packs for $50. Then maybe I'm wrong because they are all the same damn thing in different colors.
I've never sold cookie cutter sites of ANY kind, so why do you keep grouping me in that category?
But in reality, if a webmaster takes their PR4 site, pulls off their Adsense ads, and replaces it with AdBrite or TLA because they ARE NOT making more than $1200/YEAR from their site/blog, then what do you think the chances are of them selling out their entire inventory at their asking price when no one is going to be impressed with the site?
How do you know that no one is going to be impressed with the site? What's that based on... your assumptions, like the assumptions you have about the warrior forum?
If the site were popular, it would be making more than $1200 a year, and wouldn't need your tips.
I talked about a 120X600px or 160X600 px area of their site, not the whole site. There's still room for more ads, aff links, etc. What are you talking about?
But let's be fair and say alright, the site is popular, a PR4 and they sellout the inventory for TLA at $1200/yr, and tack on Adbrite. My opinion is that they would be losing revenue, not making more.
That's an opinion, not fact.
Adbrite is great and all, but generally speaking, Adsense pays out a hell of a lot more per click than Adbrite does.
I found the same on *some* of my sites, but on others it was a good source of revenue, more than AdSense.
Adding TLA is fine for any site to add extra income, but why would you replace something that has a pretty good reputation for making more than their competitors? If anything, replace Adsense with YPN. But then, it would be going against what you are saying..
You see, that's one of the reasons why I suggested to readers of the post to ask me questions, because if every variable were discussed, I'd need to write an ebook on the subject, which is, well...
So no.. your theory is not realistic for the avg webmaster.
It's an option. It's something to try.
Where did I say that it was the ONLY way?
Sorry. Again, sounds easy as all hell, not time consuming, and simple, but try it on a regular PR4 site, without milking any of your friends or connections to help you, and you'll know what all of the regular people reading your bullshit ebooks go through.
What else do you have for me? Because I can go all night.
