Wait why does the "guru aff" have a reason to be pissed?

So you found out who it was and you happen to know the guy, you don't need to defend him in this situation, what he did was stupid. Also saying if you were in his shoes you would do less to help the op does not really put you in a good light either but if there's more to the story then that you should have included it.

If this is the first time someone spoke up about it on a public forum you know hes probably done this many other times, this was just the first time he got caught doing it. For all we know all this "guru" does is scrape ads and rip landing pages all day, only opening up his downloaded copy of frontpage to edit out the links and got lazy this time. Calling this person a guru is insulting, a guru is someone who is an expert in their field or a teacher and the only thing we know about this "guru" from this thread is that he rips landing pages and forgets to change the tracking code. If that is not the case and the guy is smart stand up guy normally who just made a mistake once and is not going to do it again then ok but the only thing we know about this "guru aff" is what has been posted in this thread.

If the OP came to some sort of deal with the guru about this being over and that he would not out the guy then fine this thread should have been closed the moment that happened or closed now. If not then the op should out the guru, out his domains, and out his IP. The OP can then come in here apologize and say he will never rip another landing page again and if he gets caught again then he should be banned.

If it was just some stupid fake news article that the OP changed around to be unique or something but still looks like 95% of the other ones then the op is an idiot as well. I am going off the assumption that his page was a unique page that is not like the 100s that are already out there.
 


On second thought if the sales/leads were all from non compliant landers that violate the FTC regulations and/or laws, the network should warn both affiliates about running non-compliant landing pages and refund those leads right back to the advertiser :)

lp was def not unique, in all honesty most people don't know who guru is and its not so much as a person as a name. guru did tell me his side of it so I know a little more but in any case it comes down to he said she said, but the fact remains that the lp wasn't unique nor was the content, and the netowrk foudn out aobut the hijacking not either parties and decided to hold the funds.

My apologies then, I was under the assumption the op had a landing page that he created himself and was unique.

I don't have any inside information, but if the "guru" ripped someone's landing page (doesn't matter if it was unique or not) and didn't notice his links weren't working, that is 100% his fault.

The fact that the landing page wasn't unique is irrelevant.

The network shouldn't have gotten involved unless they were concerned about the compliance of the lp.

The "guru" doesn't deserve anything if the op's story is accurate.

Seems like heavyt is just trying to backup his friend as others have already said which is bs.

I curious about how much $$ we're talking, as I think that actually makes a difference. Principle is shit if it's a few hundred bucks. Few thousand and I think MAYBE I'd give him 3/4 of his advertising costs and tell him to fuck off for the rest.

yes so telling people what I did to make money so they might do better on their campaigns is bad how? I outed two of my campaigns on pof that stopped making me money, how is that bad lol.
