Pretty shady imo. Who is the 'guru' affiliate who didn't pass 'LP Jacking 101'? Out him for some lulz if he's well known.
Now I know more about this situation, I don't know the op very well but I do know the other parties involved and I've heard their side of it. basically both sides have reasons to be pissed here. But when someone agrees to take something down after resolving something and then pushes the other party into another agreement, close the thread dude its not worth the trouble. Just let it go and move on, people that know guru know he's a stand up guy and from what he told me he did more than I would do if I was him, just take it as it is and move on. If I was you, I'd use the connection you made with him to possibly work together on something then burn bridges as the circles we run in have pretty big players in it.

The offer he made was rejected and a bit of a slap in the face. I made a NEW offer to negotiate the release of funds, not based off any of his other requirements.
You know he's a stand up guy, I don't. It's hard building a business relationship with somehow where the first impression is that they stole from you with a perception is that their first interest is business not morals.
The issue was already resolved too and the thread would've died. As you can see I was just answering pretty general questions. Some other people seem to be continuing the thread with more specifics, not me.

It sounds like you're more interested with helping your 'guru' buddy out than doing what is right.
That's exactly what it sounds like. I'm sure a few people are curious to know who it is JUST SO THEY CAN AVOID HIM. Not work with him...
Sorry Morgan, just was just some bull...
If I ripped your shit I'm not a stand up guy, no matter how much fun I am to have a beer with.
