Did you guys even read what I wrote? There's no reason why your sites can't be built using modern web standards and still work in IE6. Will they look the same? No, but that doesn't matter.
Is it dying? Yes. It's not dead yet though and anyone in business that would be willing to throw away 2-3% of sales is a fool. Also, targeting certain demographics will produce percentages of visitors on IE6 much higher than the average.
HTML5 and CSS3 are tools. determine why you need them over HTML4 and CSS2 before you use them. just because new tools are available doesn't mean they are necessary for all applications...
