Your Favorite 'Under The Radar' Films

Had to add this one. Not sure how under the radar it is over there but I had never heard of it. Brilliantly written and completely hilarious.

I watched quarantine, which I quite liked but I think the original [REC] in Spanish is much better:

great russian movie, Brother:

Young Russian Danila returns home after serving a two-year military stint and discovers that his big brother has become a hit man for mobsters in St. Petersburg and is deeply involved in a Mafia war. Wanting to help, Danila joins the mobsters to become his brother Viktor's assistant. Aimed a younger audiences, this ironic thriller follows Danila's adventures after he successfully completes his first assignment, the murder of The Chechen, a prominent crimelord.

I've seen most of the movies mentioned above. I've been watching 2-3 movies a day for the past 2 years.
Here are my top picks for Movies that have affected me the most, all my life.

Let the Right One In. (please watch Swedish version, and during Winter time)

Mean Streets

Goodfellas was the movie Scorsese wanted to make back in 72 when he made Mean Streets, but Mean Streets has a visceral and grittiness to it that make it a must watch. (the trailer is a tad hokey and doesn't even begin to do the film justice).

"You don't make up for your sins in church. You do it in the streets. You do it at home. The rest is bullshit and you know it. "

Oh man...this film is fucking powerful. Probably the most depressing film I've ever seen and yet so well done, you can't help but wanna sit through the whole thing.

Everyone always talks about Irreversible or Requiem For a Dream as "movies that will mess you up."

But IMO, neither of them quite approaches the level of this film. If you liked either of the above, I advise you to check this one out.

great russian movie, Brother:

Brother 2 is even better, though being born in USSR and understanding the Russian culture helps make the movie better. Was a sad day when the main star died, was sort of a hope of Russian cinematography...

One of my all time favorites.

Also, to add on the "The Game" recommendation, what an incredible movie!
