So true. I'm the one that just buys things when i need them deals be damned.
 


Same here. My girlfriend saves me money because she's all over deals.

I personally hate deals. Hate coupons. Hate shopping on Saturdays and holidays when it's overly crowded.

My favorite moment to shop is Monday at 10 AM when everyone is behind a cubicle and the whole mall is empty and I get to park right in front of the entrance of the store :)

I think you guys are getting this wrong. If you lived alone, and were a bachelor (assuming you have no kids), how much extra money every month would you have?
 
A little over $1k, but that is because I'm paying for her to go back to school (plus she cooks and cleans, which would cost me money)

Regarding comments like 'compared to bachelor life'... she probably breaks even for me after I would consider the extra I'd spend on strip clubs, taking girls out to wine and dine, eating out, and in extra maid services. Maybe a couple hundred, but not much financial burden.

Yeah, that's definitely true. If I was single, almost guaranteed I'd be more expensive than with the ball & chain.

I'll be realistic, and say $1000/month. Someone's gotta keep the fridge full of food, gas in the vehicles, etc. Really, how many of your girlfriend's live with you, and chip in 50% for the electric bill, or food bill, or pay for nights out, or for vacations? I think that's what the OP's question originally was gearing towards.

Although wouldn't be in my case. Mine definitely sits on the asset side of my balance sheet.

She's a great cook too.
 
hookers are a better investment than girlfriends.

You can't pay your girlfriend to gtfo so you can go about your day. They'll sap the majority of it if you let them, if anything.
