well well well looks like my thread got revived...

My suggestions:

- Absolutely NO EMD. I'm even tempted to say no keyword in the domain name tbh, but whatever...

- Real Term (No competitive niches like Health, Gambling or Porn)... something related to 2012, end of the world, aliens or anything like that would be fun actually.

- No Teams.

- Top-3 should get prizes.
 
What would be great, is that the we all keep a log of how what we do and then share it at teh end of the comp?

For me, it will be a learning experience rather than a chance to win!!

It has to be a real term otherwise it doesn't test shit. In the real world you need relevant links, not just a bunch of horseshit spam that has nothing to do with anything.

E.g, let's assume that the term is "Apocalypse 2012" - in that case I am going to spend energy looking at footprints that'll get me links from those already in that niche. Now let's assume the term is "tencentpiece likes to cone all day long", instead of trying to find anything relevant (because there isn't anything, apart from that video) I am just going to mass spam and blog network the shit out of that term.

I disagree.
 
Can't really moderate it, but link sellers in the BST should be asked not to sell any link packages to people for the competitions keyword or a site that is trying to rank for it. Try and keep it as much as you can to the skill of the user and not who spends the most in the BST section.

I get that this would be hard to moderate, but maybe a mod can make a sticky in there during the contest and threaten bans against providers who sell packages for the keyword term.

We should use BS terms like se3 Ninja Domination that look like guru products. At the end, we go start a WSO and troll the shit out of some worriers and see who over there tries to rehash it.
