This is the biggest issue on WF right now. It seems like half the threads that get started are by spammers, half the replies are by spammers, and there are even threads where its nothing but spammers talking to spammers.
There is still a lot of good information on WF and a lot of cool people that are knowledgeable and friendly, but they're getting drowned out in a sea of spammy comments, bad advice, and just pure bullshit.
I always admired the fact that WF was a low-volume forum. I felt that people learned early-on to search first, ask questions later. That often led to smarter discussions and less filler being pumped into our browsers. Unfortunately, that void is now being filled by scammers and spammers.
I agree that Xrumer needs to be blunted somehow and there should be a tiered system in terms of user rights to try and combat people that are simply here to spam.

The BST section was made to Buy, Sell, or Trade services.
Now that it's $36 a thread, if I want to buy a specific service, I'm not going to pay to list that.
Let's have a separate "Want to Buy" or "Want to Trade" section so that we can post what we want to buy or trade.

Against # 3. DR's are allowed outside STS. degrades the actual quality of a topic also hinders people to take anything seriously all like a joke. but on the other hand when they werent allowed it wasn't enforced so so we basically stay the same on that.
It's funny that the same people bitching at dickrolling and where tits can be posted are the same people bitching that wickedfire is going downhill. Should just ban all of those idiots now.
Its also funny that the people who are simply stating an opinion are being bashed by people who disagree. I and others are just stating what we think, then people against what we think just throw insults at us instead of making a case for themselves.
You and learningcurve and others. Why not instead of insulting people against DRs in the newbie section and/or suddenly tits/ass with no warning icon, you actually make a case for why they should be allowed? You might feel awesome by flaming people, but you really arent accomplishing anything for your side.
Just like all the evolution believers here, when some one mentions creationism, you guys start screaming and pitching a fit without giving any evidence to their cause.
Speaking of insulting, you are fucking retarded. My post was directed at both sides for continuing to argue about such a minute issue. Hence, why I quoted Dchuk for saying "this thread is accomplishing absolutely nothing." My point was for everybody to shut the fuck up about dickrolling so the people who actually do have decent ideas can be heard.
I think you could ban DRs all together it's a meme that's run it's course and now they're just sad. Make people come up with something more creative.
Also I'd recommend separating the buy/trade part from the BST so people could post small stuff for trade or that they want to buy without paying $36. As it is you can't make a post looking to buy anything without paying which is kind of silly. Obviously it would need to be monitored for people sneaking their selling posts in there.
Also I suggest making it impossible to post outside of the newbie forum for your first 20 posts. Either they're a newbie and need it, they're a spammer or dumb and will get banned, or they're experienced and they have to help some newbies before they can participate elsewhere.

I also sort of agree bout the boob and NSFW icons, they should be used. But yeah you gotta be a tard to be on WF anywhere there are kids, ever. just sayin
And still nothing done to Dresden after using the word 'niggers' in a post title (which was so conveniently changed). I just find it hard to comprehend how racism is tolerable in any public place / situation these days.

I've not been in the noob section for a while - I thought the consensus was that if a noob asks a question that isn't 'How I mek monies onlione??' then people should help them out. Only if they are a complete fuckwit or posting in the wrong section should they be DR'd.

Funny racism is always funny and lulzz but immature/serious racism should not be allowed. For instance - Dresden is using "Fucking jews", "Niggers", etc serioully quite often.
It's not about racism but act like grown up people. One or two idiots make the entire WF look bad.
