If ya really want to get picky about it though, Christianity was based on Judaism, which in turn was heavily influenced by the ancient Egyptian and Babylonian cultures and so on...

I dont judge anyone unless they were in for hurting children or a handful of other things. Some people are just scumbags by nature and belong in prison. Others like myself made wrong decisions at one point in their lives and learned from them, moved on and become assets to society rather than burdens.
I didn't waste time digging into it, but "Nature's God", as opposed to "Nature's god" implies a religious slant. Note that the author doesn't refer to any other gods, or even other religions.
EDIT: Reading more I realise that the phrase used is not the author's own, the site does seem to maybe be more impartial than it first appeared. It seems a lot of the site is about the Bible being a source of law in a non-religious manner, as a historical document rather than a Christian one.
The truth - from what you've quoted - is that early written laws included references to the prevailing religion of the time.
However perverted they may have become, the basis of these laws is humanity. Notice how many different religions and cultures hold the same basic beliefs? "Thou shalt not kill" - pretty much the same in most cultures, even if our great leaders chose not to follow it.
