What the fuck is going on?

I just went to reply on the thread about Christian affiliate marketing - spent a while writing out a constructive response. Hit post and it's gone!

I've had other threads come up my reader, only to go there and find them gone... why are people being censored?

I might not agree with them - be them trolls or Jesus freaks - but I hate censorship.
 


Maybe because as i got responses to my earlier threads "Religion is not much appreciated in wickedfire"

Or may be the OP of that thread was a dick

I agree, Jon. But it's odd sometimes threads are deleted other times the member is banned, but the threads left. (was it because it had had no replies yet?)

I'm sure it isn't the case but it looks like censorship, which is something I think most people are against.

I'm not going to be putting up with much bullshit anymore so that it turns into a flame fest on me. Sorry, but I'm sick of having people swear at me one moment here and then ask me for help another, and play the whole "it was a joke" role. There's a line between joking with me and accusing me of being something I'm not.

If anyone has a problem with me, tell me in person. I promise not to stab you in the neck right away either.

Not sure how to read that, if it was aimed at me I'm a bit lost, I don't think I've said anything like that have I? If so can you pm me please.

Otherwise, I don't know what's gone on, but no one likes that shit.

I really don't envy you mate. Can't be easy to balance having your forum and also letting the members have their forum - like being the boss and one of the guys.
 
I'm sorry jon but you are the cause of people attacking you, everything you say contradicts something else you say, you can't expect people to just keep on believing you.

Wade has never been an ebook guy that I know of.
He's always been in affiliate management and has worked
for Kowabunga for a long time. Just recently started
working with a Christian network.

He's one of the good guys in the industry, so not sure
what happened in that thread - but it sounds to me like
someone went off half-cocked.

I'm not a Christian so not defending anyone on that basis and I don't
know what was said so may be sticking my foot in my mouth.
However if the flaming and thread delete, was purely because he was talking about Christian affiliate programs that's just wrong.

Christian programs are an industry niche, so are mortgage programs -
and gambling - and porn affiliate programs. Each to his own.

I, for one, am interested in hearing more about people's experiences with the Christian online marketplace and whether it's a viable niche or just too broad to have any meaningful marketing strategies.

I hope and trust that whoever that was deserved to be banned and didn't just get censored because it was Christian marketing. If I ignored every person in here who posted simply because he's right-wing, I wouldn't have a chance to learn from them and share strategies. WF is supposed to be about business.

This thread is a perfect example of why you will have problems getting mainstream advertisers here. (referencing the WickedFire CEO post)

Unfortunately, the things that draw people in to this forum... drives the advertisers away.
