Review some of these logos for me? (Some are kinda cool?)

Alright, so I got my second draft of logo design concepts back from my designer. If you guys want to take a look at them and provide me with some feedback- that would be cool :)

I personally like 2,4,5,6 (not as much), and 7 out of them

1: Too much focus on music
2: Looks great, stylish
3: Bit boring
4: Nice one, humor always works
5: Looks good, but somehow unrelated
6: Naaaa..
7: Great one, my favourite
8: Maybe for home improvement, but high school, no
9: Only if the site is targetted to girls only...it's gay

1.) Agreed- its definitely not in the running.
2.) I like this one two- especially the font style
3.) Agreed- its definitely not in the running.
4.) I like it too- the color scheme would need to change though
5.) I like the font a little bit, but it just reminds me of a travel brochure or something. Like you said, not related.
6.) Its not bad, just not what Im looking for exactly.
7.) Call me a pansy or whatever but I'm going to ask the designer to remove the booze for the logo because I don't think big brand name advertisers would like to associate themselves with a logo like that considering the leaderboard would be literally right next to it.
8.)Yah, something about the building just turns me off.
9.) It isn't, gay, agreed.
 
4 is the one that stuck out the most. 7 is good as well, but you dont want to be encouraging underage drinking
 
4 or 7 but for the love of god change your color scheme or use a softer grade of blue/orange.
 
My only gripe with #4 is it looks boring. It is funny, but doesn't inspire action such as the basketball player and rockers do. If you incorporate those three elements together (sleep, sports, music) I think you'd have one of the best targeted logos I've seen in a while.
 
My son is in high school and he is cool. He says # 4 is cool and the cool people will like it. #7 he says will appeal more on a broad scale to geeks, jocks etc.

I agree with him.
 
#2 and #4 for me, depending on the site (seroius informative site/ jokes/forum/chat site)

all the others are nothing special imo
 
I like 2 best.

My only concern with some of the others is the height of them(I know about scaling but still). Though I suppose you could work them into your end design with out an overly large header so 2 or 4

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I did a quick MS Paint job and copied the font from the #2 logo and put under the #4 logo. I think it looks a lot better now. The characters still need some work though.

Its definitely between #4 and #7 I think
