ObamaCare Upheld.

They're in bed with Uncle Sam and have been for years. They're essentially an intelligence machine and competition killer.
Can you substantiate either of these claims?

Yes, their company has a history of successful business practice.
That is what I was talking about.

No, they would not be who they are today without being a staple of the corporate fascist state.

Similar applies to Google.
You can reduce this to be applicable to everyone though. I agree, but what is the point? We know things are fucked up, that doesn't mean there aren't examples of positive outcomes.

Walmart is the result of decades of optimization and capital investment in the most efficient management structures.

Maybe they took it a bit too far then because when I enter a walmart I feel like I have just teleported to Zimbabwe. Between the people who shop there and the sub 50 IQ employees, when I leave there I feel like fucking Warren Buffet and Albert Einstein all at the same time.

It is, by far, the worst shopping experience I have ever experienced in my entre life. The only time I go there is when I need something at like 3am that I can't find anywhere else.

You feel like this everywhere you go.

Walmart banks large.

Oh I don't disagree that they bank and are well optimized. They are like the real world version of a make money online landing page. They bank and they convert..but holy fuck @ shopping experience quality.

They built one of their "super" walmart centers near us, and we've started going there for the past few years. Before the super walmart, the one they had was ultra dirt trash. But their super walmart is very big/open and has a nice atmosphere; so now we have a mix of the really dirty trash people, and actually decent presentable human beings, it's odd because you never know what you'll get.

But the main point is, as my wife is a huge savings nut, they're cheaper on pretty much everything when you compare it with the grocery store in the more upscale area of town, on the same products. So if you're willing to be subjected to trashy people; which hey, is sometimes entertaining, you do save more.

good thing I live in Canada.

Sure, here and here and here, here, here, here, here, here and yeah

Agreed. Evil doing good is one of the only reasons we're where we are and not far worse.

But it's a far stretch to say the least reducing Google being directly funded by a cia contractor in its earliest days to comparable circumstances with other companies.

I recently heard that people who believe the Government at face value think that this bill will provide low cost, universal healthcare and defend the public from the evil insurance companies.

Why would insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies be the top lobbyists for the reform, spending millions of dollars in support of the bill?

Why would Obama's first nominee for Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services be Tom Daschle, a man who's been paid millions working for DLA Piper, the largest law firm in the world, who's primary clientele is made up of the biggest players in the pharmaceutical, health insurance and healthcare industries.

His job as an attorney is to help them make more money. Their job as corporations is to make more money. The Governments job is to figure out how to exploit us for more money.

Yeah, I'm sure it's all about helping the poor and has nothing to do with profit motives of special interests and paid off politicians. That makes sense.

Where's LukeP and his tinfoil hat (nah, i love you like a play cousin)

Is it true buried inside the bill, there's something about ' National Medical Device Registry' aka the chip?

Making money is a good thing.

If it occurs in a market environment.

In a market, making money is a sign of pleasing customers.

Making money through government is a bad thing. It means using a legal advantage to gain profit that would not have otherwise (ceteris paribus) come in a market.

You already have one in your pocket. I'd say that's the least of our worries right now.

I agree 100%. I was just pointing out the likelihood they've all come together out of the kindness of their hearts to provide free healthcare for all as opposed being in it for the money. I'm not against capitalism. I am against corporatism.

exactly

You do realize that MOST other 1st world countries have nationalized health care for a good reason right?
You realize most of Asia and Eastern Europe was communist for a [sic] good reason right?

You realize most of Europe burned women at the stake as witches for a [sic] good reason right?

You realize most blacks in America were slaves for a [sic] reason right?

Stick to trolling, thinking isn't your forte.

Because healthcare spending represents on average around 10% of GDP for nations worldwide and they get to confiscate a huge chunk of the economy as well as exert enormous control over their citizens?

Or maybe Governments are the only ones smart enough to be trusted with that responsibility. Hopefully they handle it as well as they do the economy.

Don't sell me this free market hogwash and tell me it's healing tonic. I still love you though baby come cuddle with me.

Why don't ya'll make a new caption "It's funny that people think we can afford to fight 3 wars simultaneously but we can't afford to nationalize health care." I don't see you libs complaining about that though, what a surprise.

I'm not a lib.

And I think it's pretty obvious, if you've read my other posts, I don't agree with the wars either. Two (or 2,000) wrongs don't make a right.

My disgust with our Government goes far beyond Obamacare. You're arguing Government problems against Government problems. Notice a pattern?

From 2 pages back...

Obama is a glorified gangster. His entire job is figuring out how to steal, extort, lie and murder people. He has a kill list. He's involved in perpetual war. He oversees the largest prison population in the world and systematically destroys the rights of his own citizens to exert greater control over them.

If that's a guy you want to look up to that's your call. I personally reject everything Obama and the State stand for.
