They do not stay active but they get you more followers by seeing the count. This strategy has been also adopted by big companies. If this wasn't then we wouldn't be seeing these types of thread in marketplace.

That's just bs lets say a twitter account has 2000 followers and there is zero customer interaction with that twitter interaction so does it looks spammy as hell. Quality twitter account usually have alot of 2 way communication...

No, it hasn't been adopted by big companies effectively leveraging twitter.

The reason why we see this shit in the marketplace is because people think socials are some form of SEO, and so they buy them like links, completely bypassing the social process.
