how to stop dark knight rises massacre

To anyone familiar with Aurora or surrounding cities, do other theaters allow folks to carry firearms? If so, I imagine they'll see a boost in business.

I'd be surprised if similar massacres occurred in those theaters over the next few years.

lol @ the keyboard warriors.

Guys, unless you're a Navy Seal who has experienced being under heavy live fire several times during your tours overseas, I highly doubt in that situation you're going to keep calm, cool, and collected while you shoot the guy with your handgun. Get real, lol

But everyone on WF *is* a Navy Seal. They are also scientific/political geniuses, who work out 24/7, have the answers to everything, and will all soon be billionaires. If only one WF member was around when crimes were committed, there would never be a crime committed again.

Just kidding. They're mostly fat white guys who sit around looking for a chance to argue on the Internet, so they can live out a fantasy, because their lives suck.

I'm saying this situation was unique in that it would be pretty hard to escalate it any further. I don't think you have to be particularly brave to fight back when someone is indiscriminately shooting people.

Damn, coolest vid I've seen in a while. That old man was even cooler than Epic Beard man.

I'll apologize if I'm wrong, but I don't think I will be.

Fuck the media profiling this loser. They need to focus on the asshats who raised him, and celebrate the lives of the unfortunate folks who were in the theater that night.

Not sure if I would be so quick to blame the parents. This guy is a doctoral candidate, so obviously highly intelligent. Some people are simply too intelligent to function properly in society, which leads their minds astray, and sometimes for the worst.

The Unabomber is a good example:

Depends, in Israel... they do not put up with this... how many would be pulling out sub machine guns and popping this guy.

If say 7 8 people had guns, maybe would not of been so many dead, and injured.

This does show what a terror attack could look like from a foreign government .... if usa attacks iran might have this type attack in us...

but the question on iran is... do we want them to have nukes? yes or no...
we could stop the program... but at what cost....

it would take more then a few air attacks. us could take the terror attacks, clear and control the straight.
War always has hidden costs.. you dont know what will pop out of the jack in the box of war.

Could not have said it better myself... Sometimes being too smart isn't always a good thing. It leads to being socially fucking retarded in some cases, like this fucking idiot who decided to kill innocent people in some weird subjective trance state... Dude was definitely putting himself in self-trance state, you can see when he was sitting in the court room how disassociated he was from reality, sure is going to be a nasty hangover when reality settles in and realizes he will be spending the rest of his life in prison... Fucking fruit loop.

Yeah, but that's our failures as a society. We should be embracing people like this, instead of shunning them because they don't care about the score of the latest NFL game, or care about what color their couch is. For all we know, he could have came out with some medical breakthroughs that changed humanity as we know it. I mean, the average age of a doctoral candidate is 36, and he accomplished that by 24. Pretty impressive.

But instead, he was (probably) shunned, never quite fit in, so shot up a movie theater, and is now sitting on death row.

I agree with you again. Unfortunlately it's too late for all that

Liberals don't believe in trying. If the government can't give it to you, then it's simply unobtainable.

"Can you prove this?"

Oprah Winfrey went from using potato sacks for clothes to obtaining billions of dollars, because the government gave it to her.

Steve Jobs went from living on a hippie commune (that had an apple orchard which inspired the Apple name) to being one of the richest people on the planet, because the government gave it to him.

people die every day. nothing could've stopped this.

You have no way of knowing whether there could've been a different outcome with a different circumstance.

i bet you couldv;e hit center mass at 75'.

none of you have CQC training, so shut the fuck up with this shit.

You don't know the answer to either of those statements.

sick of people saying what they wouldv'e done. all you wouldv'e was either got shot or pissed your pants.

I'm sure a few of us are sick of you saying what people wouldn't have done too. Believe it or not people do exist who stand up under pressure which can save lives. I'm not claiming anyone who says "what they would've done" would be that person who stands up but acting like you have the answers to hypothetical situations(on either side) makes you look like a moron.

that doesn't really apply anymore. colleges found the more degrees they give to dumb people, the more degrees smart people try to get to distinguish themselves, the more those new levels get dumbed down to maximize revenue.

This thread:

  • People acknowledging their pussiness.
  • People denying their pussiness
  • People acknowledging they don't know what they would do, but prefer to be armed.

If nobody has the right to bear arms, what happens when someone illegally obtains guns, or worse, the police themselves, and starts massacring people? Ordinary citizens would be fucked.

A dark, crowded movie theater is an ideal location for someone wanting to kill people, but what about out on the streets? Taking away the right to bear arms would give the people (government) with weapons a license to dominate.
