A center who is long way from being a great center. Sure, he can score twenty and pull down 15 boards for you, along with a couple of blocks thrown in for good measure, but lets be realistic about this. The guy can't hit the broad side of a barn from more than five feet, he is horrendous from the free throw line (he would put up monster numbers then), and even with the tutelage of the great Hakeem Olajuwon, was too fucking retarded to learn some offensive posts moves other than bash and barge.
The addition of Nash is a plus and a minus. Nash likes to run the offence but Kobe likes to be the offence. Nash is good for Howard, shit for the man who has been the Lakers for so long. As for the retards saying last season was his best in ages, you need to pay more attention - his shooting percentage was the third lowest it has ever been in his career and his assists totals have slowly and surely been dropping. If you think the Black Mamba tag still fits you are sorely mistaken - this isn't the same explosive Kobe of ten years ago - not even close, yet he still seems to think so though, throwing up a shittier array of shots each season. Nash ain't going to fix that - Kobe will still demand the ball in crunch time. Interesting fact - come crunch time, as of last year (taken from the last tean years of stats) the Lakers are one the most proficient during the regular season and fall to around 11th during the playoffs, usually when Kobe demands the ball the most.
They won't win a ring this year - the Heat proved it took more than one year with the talent they had; they needed time to gel properly to be able to dominate completely.
The 76ers made out like fucking bandits in this one, only having to give up Iggy for Bynum - sweet fucking Jesus!
For all you people that are saying that the Heat are going to repeat because of Ray Allen raining down threes... please. They will probably repeat simply because they addressed one of their most glaring weaknesses - depth. The other is the lack of a truly dominant presence in the middle but that didn't slow them down last year.
Tbh, I am almost over the NBA after watching it for close to 25 years. Too many primadonna's demanding this and that, thinking that they are more important than the game and wanting a ring almost bought for them. I wish there were more with KD's attitude playing the game - the circus just about ruins it now.
