SIDE NOTE: This site was a replacement site for one that had been hit by penguin back in April. As of two days ago, the old site has seen a big jump in the SERP's for many of it's keywords, however it's still penalized for the main keywords which were anchor over optimized. Not sure what that means either yet, but it's an interesting observation.

I have a site that's done just that. Main keyword came back but still not ranking high, its on page 3 at the moment. But the inner pages moved up very high in the serps.

Bofu knows how to fix this. I'm not a fan of sharing publicly what people show me privately, so I won't say anything, except that depending on the value of the site in question to you, it might be worth a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue (or something else expensive) to prime his pump, gnawmean?
