We should rank him for terms that people on the fence or misguided about the choices would search for.

I'll buy some domains on a shared hosting plan for this - and give anyone that wants to work on it the PW.

My SEO, Design, and Coding skills all suck... so buying the domains and posting on blogs is about all I can really contribute.

I would also be willing to write a little content (2-3 articles) -- but we'll need much more than I have the time to write.
 


There is a poll that is very important in less than a week. If for some reason he ranked higher that would be great. Or if you know anyone in Iowa that can spread the word, help people get tickets, get to the poll place etc. More info at this page:

PS I like McCain too but he is not so different from status quo and getting quite old. He is as old as Reagan was when he got elected.
 
Here are my ideas:
MySpace marketing (sending people to a website with videos like the one in this thread)
YouTube view inflating (most viewed could really help get the message out)
Digg
Mass Xrumer use

I would be careful about ranking for search terms though. Maybe just helping his site out would be better than making our own domain.

Using just the techniques here I think we could easily reach 1,000,000+ people.

No, using spam techniques will give him negative press. The best thing to do for Ron Paul's campaign is to donate money, and tell your friends and community about him through word of mouth and articles.

Ron Paul is already getting bad press about us web nerds supposedly rigging the online polls. I think spam tactics would just make things worse.

Meh, maybe I should watch more tv lol. All I heard about was the Digg whores whining (mentioned in this thread). I retract all previous statements.
 
Well. I can see that it's against his inherent beliefs. Though socialized medicine may not be the answer, our current way of doing things is total shit.

Quality of life in the above mentioned countries is a lot better than ours. I am all for free markets, but not at the expense of human lives to turn a profit.

I checked out the video and yeah I can agree with the vast majority of the things he is passionate about. It's a breath of fresh air from the rhetoric you see every other politician spew out.

Anyone have any info regarding his thoughts on the current state of health care in the US?
 
Lets not fuck his campaign up. Dont do that Xrumer shit and YouTube view inflation. Just, if you support him,dont be a fucking idiot about it. Post about it, sure, but doing all tha tother shit will just hurt his campaign in the long run.

His economics knowledge is weak. He speaks about inflation tax hurting the poor . Thats nonsense , inflation "taxes" the people that hold money and they are usually not poor. Inflation has been pretty low since Volcker took over the FED. Return to gold standard is also a bad idea.
 
Generally (very simplistically), lower taxes benefit the rich, while increased public spending benefits the poor.

Of course it depends how you spend the taxes - by slashing military spending and 'aid' to countries like Israel, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, America could easily afford to provide free healthcare and a higher standard of education for everyone - without higher taxes.
 
If he becomes president hes gonna get assassinated... just like most other presidents that tried to get rid of the fed.

Government-run healthcare creates a system of mediocrity and government dependence. There is no way that is happening here. It can't.

This country was founded on *capitalism*, not socialism. We don't believe in the forced redistribution of wealth and benefits. (And those who do should probably move. ;))

Trust me, I thought Moore was a fat muckraker spin-artist before Sicko but Im actually impressed with what hes done with this new movie. Hes not directly on a campaign against politicians in this one, hes trying to point out the facts and going at it at a 'is this what weve come to?' point.
