Firearms thread - enthusiasts only please

So I've literally got tens of thousands of rounds in ammo, and im not referring to just 22 (you do the math financially). You think I'm gonna go barter X amount of bullets for something to feed my family/child/etc? Fuck no.... I'm buying these and stockpiling for other purposes. Same rule applies with antibiotics, etc. If I need it bad enough, I'm gonna git it...

Sometimes taking what you need may not be the right play. I fully support the idea of takin what you need, but if you want to survive long term making smart decisions is critical.

Found this one as well. More expensive than the Norinco but heard a lot of good things about the Ruger MK's. What do you guys think?

Rugers are great fun to shoot. Fantastically accurate... but breaking them down for cleaning will make you want to use it on yourself.

For that reason, I clean my Ruger MKIII every 2000 rounds whether it needs it or not.

22LR is a awesome thing to barter. I've used it before to trade for stuff.

In a collapse scenario (Argentina, Serbia, Yugoslavia, Zimbabwe) scenario, 22LR and other ammo IS USED AS A BARTER TOOL. While the option is always there to kill people for food/water/shelter/such, 22LR would be my absolute last choice for attacking people. Granted, for $25 and a little knowhow, anyone can take a 22 caliber firearm and suppress it to effectively make no noise at all.

The Ruger is a great firearm, so is the norinco.

After a bit of research, the norinco is a copy of the colt woodsman. Norinco makes EXCELLENT copies of firearms, in some cases they're better than the originals (The M16 is the only exception).

Anyone been to a gun store lately? Wanted to pick up an AR before the black messiah won't let me, only to find all the stores in my area completely sold out. I'm curious if the industry will be able to fill some of the demand before the laws change.

Most of the factories have stated that they have 1+ year worth of AR15s ordered. This is factoring in 24/7 production in each factory.

Fuck me. That's what I get for waiting around. Can't even imagine what that's goin to do to the price

Just got back from the range and shot a friends Rossi Model 92 ranch hand .44. Fun to shoot:

Buy as many stripped lowers as possible. That's the part that you have to do the 4473 paperwork on. The rest are just parts.

200% to 300% increases.

Colt 6920s, the kind that walmart was selling for $970 as a Christmas special (Granted prior to the 15th) are now selling for $2800-$3400.

Thankfully I stocked up long before all this crap went down. Now i'm selling off the stuff I don't need for 500% more than I paid for it to fund more purchases when things calm down.

Turner's here in SoCal had 3,000 stripped lowers arriving next week from PSA at $129.98 each.

They accepted deposits on them starting 12/20 (5 max per customer) and they were sold out in 48 hours.
