Historic is the only word I think you could use to describe it.

Just imagine the scene: Ron Paul, Jim Rogers, Nigel Farage, Jim Rickards, and Peter Schiff, all on stage at the same time, Saturday night, in Santiago, Chile.

This was so fantastical that when we posted the photo of the group on our Facebook page yesterday a lot of people thought it was an April Fools’ joke.

I met Simon Black last year. It wasn't something I had planned; we were just at the same party.

He struck me as a bit of a bullshitter, which was the image I had formed of him while reading his blog (I stopped when-for a period-it became fatally monotonous), and I stand by that. One more obvious tell is the abundance of accidentally starkly contrasting claims he makes when writing.

I think he's the perfect example of building and leveraging social influence, dominating a lucrative niche, great marketing, and most of all, "faking it until you're making it."

I don't think he's really bullshitting anymore. Or at least, he doesn't need to be.

By the way, read his About Me page and try to imagine what the guy who wrote that is probably wearing. He was wearing exactly that. lol
 
I think Simon Black uses a very annoying alarmist spamming method of getting his point across. If his point is anything else than buying whatever he is selling. I am going to unsubscribe if nothing else because I'm tired of the WaFo headlines popping up almost every single day. I get it Simon, hire your lawyer to set up a company in Chile, but what if I don't want to live in fucking Chile? One trick pony is one trick pony.
 
I feel like he frequently spits out a lot of bullshit, but he has a lot of good underlying messages.


He without a doubt uses the alarmist type marketing, and throws on the cheese a lot to get people worked up to buy his products, but I've still learned a good bit from reading his stuff though.

I had dinner with him and Tim (his financial guy) last year. I found them both to be very knowledgable on a ton of stuff worldwide, and generally friendly and easy to talk to. Probably closed minded to views that were not his own though.


This was pre-election so I specifically asked him what he thought about Ron Paul (and why he had never mentioned him in the newsletters), his response was more or less that the US was doomed no matter who came to power because the system itself was broke (mandatory debt). I liked that answer.
 
I really don't see what is so special about his advice. There is nothing there that wealth management consultants haven't said for decades. Chile is now the bastion of freedom. More like a poor country trying to raise some money. They're one Hugo Chavez away from dictatorship. Lots of people have gambled on central/south america and lost. It's a fundamentally unstable region. The only true bastions of personal and private freedom historically are Switzerland and Hong Kong, mostly because that is where the real global elite puts their money. They are buffer states between power hungry groups of people.

Damn, I'm not going to lie... I want that video footage... But having moved to asia I told myself I'd never need to buy his membership... Oh he's good, isn't he?

Like the men in that picture, I don't like Simon for his style. (Ok, Farage's style is pretty kick ass...) I like Simon for the tips he spills. There are some great drippings off that table.

I don't know if you've been to Chile but it's unlike any other South American country. Stuff actually works down there and they've got their shit together. Most their success is due to Pinochet laying the proper groundwork.

It's amazing how different Argentina and Chile are. It's like night and day. Thank you, Pinochet!

How about everyone who hasn't been to Chile, stop trying to tell people who have been to Chile, what Chile is like.

I went to Chile last year. It's more developed than most of southern Europe. You can drink straight from the tap there. If you drink from the tap in Spain you'll be shitting little brown senoritas for a month. And not in a good way. However, the women are definitely not like that video in Chile. That's some heavy propaganda if I've ever seen it.

I know I know, first post, blah blah, dickroll my face, I'm a loser, a world without anarchism is like a gay without condoms etc etc buy bitcoin, guns and gold, and golden guns made out of 3d printed bitcoins and so on ad infinitum until Guerilla tells you how it really is
