Range Rover Runs Over Bikers

As a motorcyclist I'm a little torn watching this. The herd mentality is disgusting tbh, but I am very curious to know what led the original biker to brake check him. You can clearly see him looking into the car, perhaps yelling at it at the beginning, leading me to believe that something happeneing to lead to his act of stupidity. Bikers generally don't react like that unless something has happened beforehand, well at least not here in Aus.

For what it's worth, I don't think bikers should take up the whole road like those tools were when in large groups, it's just impolite road use. I also don't condone what they did - that herd beating is cowardly but I am left scratching my head as to how it started.

I couldn't even count up the times cagers have nearly taken me out because they are so unaware of what's going on around them. If the driver did something to spark this - and you can't say he didn't since we don't have the lead up, or can't see it properly - I can understand the anger. I just can't understand the stupidity that ensued after whatever it was.

Bike brake checked him HARD and got hit. Bike's fault. Not driver's fault. Those bikers need to die.

And what does fault have to do with diffusing a dangerous situation? I mean, I can understand why your pride would be hurt... but I don't see the logic in getting out of your car and screaming 'it was your fault' ... or peeling off and running over people.

It looked like he would have gotten his ass kicked if he did what you mentioned. These bikers are probably ready to cause drama with their large group as is.

He MIGHT have gotten his ass kicked lightly vs 1000% for sure getting his ass kicked savagely. And when the cops showed up, it would be 100% the bikers fault; now he is legally liable.

I mean, imagine him getting out of his car and saying "OMG, I'm so sorry, are you hurt, do you need me to call an ambulance? I'm so sorry, I don't know what I was thinking, it was an accident. Can I help?" - Do you think they would beat a man saying that with his family in the car? Sure they might have an aggressive vibe... but that doesn't justify peeling off and running people over.

Even if they were to hit him while apologizing for an accident (highly unlikely), it would be a slap compared to what they do with someone who INTENTIONALLY ran them over. Not to mention the shift in legal liability.

Bad situations don't justify bad decisions.

And yes, the bikers are jerks. But I don't see how "I got bad vibes" from 3 guys standing next to me after I ran their friend over, means "I have the right to run other guys who weren't the 3 guys standing next to me" works.

And lol at keyboard warriors saying to pull a gun on that crowed. Nothing proves your manliness like putting your family's life and your own in danger by pulling a loaded weapon on a group of people who might be armed and end up likely going to jail for it.

Holy shit, there's so much wrong with all of that. I figured it would be a waste of time to even watch, but that was mad max / road warrior type intense.

He should have driven to a police station. And yeah I bet he has 3 handguns in his glove box now.

We had some similar shit with aggressive bicyclists here in Seattle:
Mark said Monday that he saw the mass of bicyclists and thought he'd accidentally driven into the Seafair Torchlight Parade route, so he pulled into a parking spot along Aloha Street to allow them to pass. But he said when he tried to pull back into traffic, he was blocked by cyclists who positioned themselves around his vehicle.

He admits panic and fear soon took over as the cyclists started rocking his car, saying they were going to tip it over. Mark said he revved his engine but didn't think his car was in gear. After it stalled, he restarted the engine in order to get away but says he didn't realize he hit two cyclists.
...he was mobbed by the cyclists, who shattered his windshield and rear window, dented the sides of his car, slashed his tires and tore off his driver's side mirror.

As he stepped out of the Subaru, someone smashed something hard across the back of his head. He later learned it was likely a bike lock. Doctors stapled the wound closed.

New marketing angle for Land Rover right here. The only SUV approved for running over bikers.

"Lien was taken to Columbia Presbyterian where he received stitches for cuts to his face and was released, police said. He will not face any charges, authorities said."

that was satisfying. too bad he wasn't carrying...

It was NY. ... Same place where they jailed their star NFL wide receiver for shooting himself in the leg. Granted, Plexico should have been smart enough to use a holster, but shooting yourself in the leg sounds like a lesson learned for that.

Had the range rover guy been carrying, he would have been a cop, and there'd probably be a lot of unnecessarily dead bike riders.

This whole thing looks like it could have been a lot worse.

I either want to see the video you watched or the drugs you are on. :rasta:

The helmet-cam guy in that video was riding like he was looking to die. If you don't feel like watching, there was plenty of red light running, speeding on sidewalks, and driving into oncoming traffic.

I've been through a ton of harley and bmw rallies, but I never imagined a bunch of sport bikers could be so threatening. (And I mean that about them seeming threatening... not sarcasm...)
