Yes, Rodgers > Manning.

And for 2013, Rivers > Manning.

Give those guys the same set of weapons, and Rivers has the better numbers. Welker, Decker, D. Thomas and J. Thomas all better than Gates or any other SD target.

Any more "Seriously?!?" gifs for me?

other than welker, all those guys are no-names without manning.

rivers > manning? how much harsh homer-weed does one have to smoke to actually believe that?

What do you possibly have to back that up dipshit? I'll wait...

P Riv is having a great year, I'll give you that. But I bet Britney Spears has better form than him. He the most athletically-challenged qb in the league. It's pretty embarrassing to watch him throw IMO.

Panties successfully bunched :)

Rivers - 73.9 completion percentage in 2013 (184/249). NFL single-season record - 71.2%. (to be fair, Manning 2013 - 71.6%)

Games played in 2013 by #1 wideout Malcolm Floyd - 2.

Games played in 2013 by #2 wideout Danario Alexander - 0.

Weakest arm in nfl - Peyton Manning (according to nfl.com)

2nd least athletic qb in nfl - Peyton Manning.

While Manning has had the better overall career, Rivers is having a better season than Manning in 2013.

You are basing your dumbass argument on one year?

It's pretty well documented about how weak Peyton's is, but you're just trolling now.

The NFL changed their own rule after they were called out on a blatantly rigged call that gave a key division game to the Jets.

Screenshots included. Just goes to show the NFL is really on a death spiral.

NFL CHANGED THE PUSH RULE AFTER THEY CALLED IT
If anyone still wants to try an argue that the Push Rule call against Chris Jones in overtime was legit, first to have to explain this.

First, all the credit to Tom E Curran of Comcast Sports NE (full disclosure: I work with him on Patriots Pregame Live) for being the Woodward and Bernstein who revealed this massive cover up by the NFL.

Curran looked up the now infamous Rule 913 as soon as Belichick mentioned Jones was in fact on the line of scrimmage, so the rule was not applicable. And he took this screen cap:

(CLICK HERE FOR THE GOOGLE CACHED PAGE WHICH CLEARLY SHOWS THE REAL RULE)

Belichick made his comments at his post game presser at around 5 o’clock. In the ensuing confusion, the NFL’s official site made an edit on a post about the rule that was first posted a month and a half ago:

And like magic, the part about players not on the line of scrimmage at the snap was mysteriously gone:

So Belichick was right. Chris Jones was right. And the NFL’s own rule was right, until two hours after the refs bungled the call, handed a key divisional game to the Jets, and then sent their cyber goon squad in to clean up the crime scene.

It’s a conspiracy, pure and simple. And if they think this ends here, they are out of their frigging minds. This story will not die. They cost a championship contender a game and worse, covered it up. Shit like this brought a US president down, God knows an NFL commissioner can’t be allowed to get away with this.

How does a rule get changed after it’s been enforced. How is it that there have been 400 FGs & PATs in football and this is the first time anyone’s ever heard this called? What did Goodell know and when did he know it? I want answers and I want them now. Not tomorrow. Not after breakfast. Now. PushRuleGate is not going away any time soon.

Patriots fans take abuse all the time for claiming that the league targets them because they’re sick of the Patriots winning all the time. But this just proves something I’ve always said. Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean everyone’s not actually out to get you. @JerryThornton1

Let's see, Patriots up big at halftime ... Jets beat the shit out the Pats during the second half, both sides of the ball, and late in regulation a Jets go ahead TD, a 50 yd bomb to Stephen Hill, gets reversed on a phantom offensive interference call.

But despite that officiating the Jets manage to send the game to OT where they win, aided by a Patriots penalty.

What the Patriots were doing was coached, some Jet assistant in a booth must have spotted it and reminded the officials to look for it. And then, sure enough, on the big field goal the Patriots violating the letter of the law. No question - and please stop with the Barstool Sports bullshit.

And with all this sand in the vagina, you dare talk NFL conspiracy? Really? May I remind you the whole country saw the Patriots gifted a win via questionable officiating last week against the Saints. And the Patriot fans can't say what Jet fans can say today: that the team who won the actual game was the team outplaying their opponent.

Maybe when the league legalizes video spying on opponents the Patriots will win another Superbowl. Until then I recommend you direct your energies towards urging the Patriot coaching staff to not only read the NFL rulebook, but abide by it as well.

I found this a little bit interesting. Colts can't do shit against the Bolts but look like gods against the Broncos.

Sure, I bet I'm going to get a lot of "fake" accusations over this, but there's no way I'm going to identify myself here, so either believe it or don't. I just need to get this off my chest because there's nowhere else I can vent.
I play football professionally. Not going to say which team, position, or number of years playing, etc that might give away any identifying information, so don't even bother trying to figure that out. I will say that I'm not a rookie and leave it at that.
In case you didn't already assume this, the culture of drug use is rampant. Everyone in the league, and I mean everyone, uses PED's. We have to in order to perform at the level we're expected to perform; it's literally an unwritten, unspoken part of the contract. If someone decides to be captain moral high ground jackass and refuses to use them, they'll end up being marginalized by the coaching staff and looked down upon by the rest of the guys for not contributing in every way they should be, and they may be kept off the field or even forced out of the organization altogether if they're expendable. This fate is generally decided before a player's rookie season even begins, so it's not really an issue with veteran players. Nobody questions it, everyone just knows it's what you're supposed to do.
Contrary to popular belief, the league doesn't test for them, besides a few specific substances, and everyone knows the routine and how to beat it. They don't test for synthetic HGH at all, for example, which is one of the PED's I use.
What I hate most however (and this may sound contradictory given the first thing, but it isn't and I'll explain why) is the degree to which games or point differentials are fixed. Everyone knows it happens, but most people aren't aware of how often it happens. It's way, way, way more common than most people are aware of. For example, I can tell you right now, with absolute certainty, that the Chargers/Colts game on MNF was fixed. No, I don't play for either of them, but everything about it was textbook (just look at all the "dropped" passes to see what I mean.) Not just the obvious things like dropped passes, but the subtle things too like little subtleties that indicate the front seven is allowing lanes to open up. Once you've participated in it you learn to recognize it. Players laugh about it like it's all a big joke and it pisses me off.
This doesn't conflict with the expectation of PED use because generally only "junk games" are fixed because those are the deals players are most likely to take - by that I mean meaningless games between two losing teams, or a losing team against a winning team where the winning team has no competition in their division anyway and wouldn't be hurt by dropping a game. The latter scenario tends to pay out more, since more can be put on the line without drawing suspicion (if an unusual amount of betting activity takes place on a meaningless game, it attracts unwanted attention...)
I've participated in a couple of fixed games. I absolutely hate myself for it, it is a lot bigger of an issue for me than the PED use. I feel like I am shitting all over the sport that I love and it isn't fair to the fans who pay to see what they think is a genuine game. But I also feel like I can't speak up for fear of being marginalized or not taken seriously.
I generally despise the league for this and other reasons. All the league cares about is $$$, they don't care about the integrity of the game. I'm not the only player who feels this way. Anyway, I cut short my weight routine to write this, so I better get back to battle.

Source: I play professional football, and I despise everything about it. : confession

on the big field goal the Patriots violated the letter of the law...

Except they didn't. The rule was clear, the Patriots abided by it, the game was fixed, and the NFL changed the wording after the fact. It clearly said players not on the line of scrimmage, and the NFL deleted that line afterwards.

Just another case of Belichick/Patriot-haters. They're a dime a dozen and you're no exception, even resurrecting the tired old "video spying" as if every other team in the league wasn't doing it. I suppose they must have also been "spying" when they went to their next 2 Super Bowls and almost clinched a perfect season.

The Colts just beat the top 3 teams int he NFL, but that last win cost them:

I think they will still end up winning the division though + get 1 playoff game at home.

I love these nefarious game fixers who wait until the 3rd possession of overtime to cheat the "championship contenders" out of their precious Week 7 win. Literally 68 minutes of uncontroversial football, at least for Pats fans who were greatly aided by an overturned call at 55 minute mark.

(The previous flag they threw on the Patriots was 3 minutes after halftime.)

The Jets won. Deal with it.

Save the weird ass conspiracy theories for BarStool Sports.

Stop polluting this NFL thread with your retardation. I've already told you the rule was revised to omit players "off the line of scrimmage" within hours of the call. You can't respond to that, so you waste a paragraph on how you can't conceive of a reason the NFL would screw the Pats, and therefore it can't be true.

True retardation.

The game's over. Nobody really cares anymore. The Pats got screwed, but so what. Come January, they'll be on their way to another Super Bowl, while the Jets will be sitting at home wondering again whether to fire Rex or not. And nothing can really change that.
