Probably saved the dude's life but whatever. Next time grab your 3 year old before you escape the burning house and wait for the police to come.

Maybe he was outside to begin with, doing a little yard work during nap time.

Shouldn't get tassed running into a burning building, wether to save a kid or a stapler. Wanna die in a fire for a stapler? your own damn business. Trying to save your kid? Same deal, but probably a better reason to run into the building.

Cops tazing innocent people and killing children? Sounds like just another day in the US. I'm not even remotely surprised to hear about this.

According to the article he and his wife immediately ran outside and called 911. And then the police came and the fire department and and even in full gear it was too hot.

I agree, you should have the right to save your child, but a 3 year old is pretty much helpless, why would you run outside and call 911 instead of immediately trying to save your helpless child? A fire can spread in a matter of seconds. If you are going to save your kid do it right away, right? And not run outside and save yourself first?

The article only once briefly mentions that the boy was actually his stepson. Not that that excuses hesitating to save his life, of course.

Still, cops gonna cop.
