Cops tase father trying to rescue child from fire

You don't leave a burning house without your kids in the first place. Reports say the fire may have started in the parents' bedroom. . . something odd going on here.

According to the article he and his wife immediately ran outside and called 911. And then the police came and the fire department and and even in full gear it was too hot.

I agree, you should have the right to save your child, but a 3 year old is pretty much helpless, why would you run outside and call 911 instead of immediately trying to save your helpless child? A fire can spread in a matter of seconds. If you are going to save your kid do it right away, right? And not run outside and save yourself first?

Even if all that is correct, it's beside the point.

Maybe they both thought the other had the kid, who knows? You can't know, so you can't reasonably make that judgement call. The only thing you can know for shure is that when he -did- try and save his kid, the cops tassed him.

How long do you reckon it would take the police and firemen to get there? 5 minutes? Maybe they were real close by and say they got there in 1 minute. What the fuck was that guy doing during that time? If it were my kids I would have them out before I make it out the door. If thats not possible and I can stand, they would be out before I even called 911.

Not sure if trolling, but... so what if he wants to endanger himself? Even if the kid is 99.999999% dead, there is a probability he is alive. People have fallen out of airplanes and survived. No man on earth is the owner of reality. We take guesses, but that is as good as it gets.

Wouldn't a more humane reaction be: Sir, we can't guarantee your safety if you go in there.

I don't have kids, but when I do, if you try and stop me from saving them, as irrational as it might be, you are going to eat lead. :ak:

How someone could justify this boggles my mind.
