He's reading from a speech written in 1970. He is touching on the right issue though - the world is really fubar.

Hollywood actors get a big ego and also start fancying themselves as philosophers. They need to go fuck themselves though, because they don't know shit more than anyone else here, they just have more exposure.

The exposure is useful though. For better or worse, people listen to 'stars'.

I find it wonderful that in 15 years, MD hasn't moved one inch past his Zinn-worship. His entire "political" stance is dictated by what some guy who used to smoke weed with his parents said.

Matt Damon: I actually have more respect for him than I have for most actors, at least he actually wrote a decent screenplay; "Good Will Hunting". That said, I have zero admiration for actors as a lot. Big Fuckin' Deal - they can make it appear they actually said something a writer wrote for them to say.
