Amazon Prime Air: Drones will deliver your package in 30 minutes.

As much as it sounds kewl, the execution is impossible, but it doesn't really matter.

It's a top notch achievement for Amazon marketing team, just in time to plaster their brand all over the place online and offline, before cyber shopping days and Christmas frenzy.

Well played, very well played!

Yea, this will never happen. If only they had something like a map of all the roads with real pictures..

either you guys are doing some sort of group troll, or IDK, lol. cmon, this isn't serious.

BBC News - Amazon testing drones for deliveries

I think Babylonian is right though. Perfect timing for Amazon to release a story like this to get their name in front of millions of people right before the big Xmas rush. The news agencies got played.

There's someone on a certain underground marketplace selling drones like this with GPS auto navigation and 30 minutes of flight time for a few hundred dollars.

Yup, drug dealers will be doing border drops, making bank and LOLing while Bezos keeps stroking the FAA and Charlie Rose until 2015.

Game changer for sure. If they can get over the hurdles. I'd imagine you'd have to live somewhat close to one of their distribution centers to be able to use the service.

Seems far fetched but 20 years ago if you would have said that we'd all have video screens in our pockets and the ability to watch anything on demand anytime from anywhere etc. We'd all think that was far fetched too.

Setup drone escrow business

Customer A sends you funds for product & receiving GPS coordinates.
Customer B sends you GPS coordinates for product pickup
Drone flies product to customer A and releases funds to customer B

Man o man yeah big news just in time for cyber monday.

I think it's a stupid idea but then again I hate drones. If I saw one of those things fly over my house I'd shoot it.
