I agree. I used to love the fast guys, starting with Mike Varney's stable on Shrapnel (Becker, Friedman, etc.). Now, anything with emotion and style gets top billing for me. :)

Who's schoolin who. Cuz I can tell you Dave Navarro is truly a fucking genius. Absolutely brilliant guitarist. Love Janes Addiction. George Lynch is ok, but not in the same league if you ask me. I think Dave is trying to be very humble in that video. AWKWARD.

Also what amazes me about Dave is that he wrote and played a lot of those Janes Addiction songs super fucking wasted on heroin.

I've been listening to Howe from his first disc. He has enormous range. He keeps adding new flavor to his style with every release. If you listen to his first disc (self-titled) and his second disc (Introspection), it's like they were done by different artists. Here are links to the YT collections for each album (they probably won't embed correctly. EDIT: Embedding a library appears to result in embedding only the first video in the library. Lesson learned.)...

Here are some feels for you-grew up listening to this; this is still one of my favorite interpretations of How Insensitive, taken from The Visit! (Cobblestone, 1972) - also released as Footprints (Muse).
There are some beautiful recordings on this album.
