Doubt that's QLC.

Welcome to reality mate

I'm in your situation except that I'm 18, so take this with a grain of salt. This is how I've come to understand my situation so far. I have not come out of this shithole yet. I don't feel a need to, though.

Embrace the absurd of life and go full force against it, don't go with the crowd, immerse yourself in the process of whatever you choose to do.

Don't give a fuck what others think because whatever you do won't matter when you die, you will not be there to suck up the joy of your achievements or the great things you had done (unless you believe in afterlife where you watch others for an eternity after you die, if so, more power to you).

Be a bum if that's what you want, who fucking cares. Happiness is in your mind, not anywhere else.

Check this out, maybe it will help http://i.imgur.com/mabRf.jpg

Anyway, you're in a positions tons of people have already talked and written about. In literature it's called existencialism or nihilism or something of that sort.

You have all these feelings because you don't need to make money, get a job where you have to break your back for more ghan 8hrs and have a boss that's a pain in in the ass. Only then you will start to truly appreciate life.

I think you ought to do something that you've never done before in your life. For example, you can consider getting involved in adventure sports, or better start with something like bungee jumping and check your pulse while you're at it.

This thread...

You think you're going to get your face chewed off by the community, but they actually are just playing and offer real advice...

Good job, Wickedfire.

And here is a video analogy of this thread:

Are you bored? When is the last time that you spent a full day doing something from the time you woke up to the time you went to bed?

I was working of a favorite programming project of mine, 3 years ago. Why?

I think I can work at a local grocery store once a week. I hope that helps.

After receiving this comment several times I decided that I am a pessimist, I will hopefully change that.

kill yourself but before you do that, transfer all your domains to my account.

Thanks

You hit the jackspot. I have 1 mil in bank too, gimme your IBAN.

I was in your position last year. Now, I'm a boss at life every single day.

Two tips:

1. Go running every single morning. exercise turns you into a godlike human being. depression and anxiety will become alien to you.
2. Get a hobby that incorporates mastery and relatedness. Sports are great. if you're not athletic, then video games can work as well.

after you've done those two things, you'll be in a good position to give yourself a lifelong, longterm task. This is when you should start your business, or if you're not an entrepreneur, a career/job.

I can't walk much but I bought a elliptical cycle recently so I have been doing that. What kind of video games are you talking about?

In the VERY off chance you're telling the truth, I'm sorry, but you're an idiot. You have $1 million hard cash in the bank, and you're depressed?

Go on a nice African safari, and afterwards volunteer to dig some new wells for some villages. That should clear that little issue right up.

OP, please don't take the video games route, it'll make it worse in your state. Video games are responsible for so much depression it's not even funny, unless you're playing video games in a social setting like a Wii or a local multiplayer game with friends... but if you're alone in your basement, AVOID.

You need to get out. Depression is chemical imbalance. Sunlight + fresh air + exercise + healthy diet. That's what most people here told you to do. You need those good hormones to start flowing. There's no shortcut.

I find that we gay webmasters are a lot more prone to depression and anxiety due to the fact that we're glued to a computer most of the day. It's not healthy. We need to force ourselves to get at least 1 hour of exercise daily or we're fucked.
