Before John Bosworth was Senior Vice President of Cardiff Electric, he was a meth addict

After re-watching the scene, I think you're right. But then how would she know what happened and yet Joe's boss didn't get it? It seemed like the writers took the easy way out there.

I know Joe is desperate to make this computer and do it his way, but it's asking a lot from me to believe he'd take that kind of action without some backstory to show he was at least bisexual before, something that was very rare in the early 80s.

Joe's boss is an idiot and everything points to the fact that Joe will be squeezing him out of the company.

The woman knew because Joe and her made that weird eye contact and she realized what had just happened.

And, it was the third episode. The entire series will reveal back story. How many seasons of back story in Breaking Bad did it take for us to final understand Walt?

Wow...really disappointed that they made Joe a bi-sexual. What the fuck. What was the point of that and how is that realistic given that this is the early 80s?

Apparently, these stations have to have the token gay character now so they can attract that crowd. Do gay people not watch TV when there's no gay characters on the show???

I'm not so sure he was gay/bi I think he was just doing what had to be done. You can see it by the blank dead stare on his face after they left.

I like how Joe made him squirm in the meeting with the retailors, knowing that the guy couldn't answer the tech questions.

How exactly would he squeeze him out though? Joe's not a partner, is he?

Oh yeah, and I knew the reference to text adventures was coming but I thought it would be the Infocom games (namely Zork) that would make an appearance on the show. Having them geek out over the original Adventure makes sense, but at the time of the show, Adventure would be like 4 years old. Meanwhile, Zork III would probably be out on the shelves by now.

After seeing last week's episode, apparently that's not the case. You almost had me convinced.

Well the first 9 episodes were pretty good... But holy shit did they kill this series in the finale, couldn't even finish watching it. DROPPED.

Finale was...interesting. So much shit going on.

Finally, a Zork reference. I knew it would come but I did not expect a reference by Cameron to what would be the World Wide Web so early in the series. Maybe they thought this was going to be the show's last season and felt the need to get it in.

And what was up with Joe? Was that display of pyromania on the computer he help build a metaphor to his resignation from the industry?

Given the low viewing numbers, it's highly doubtful that it'll be renewed for Season 2. So this is it.

With the strong, sexy female hacker, and the main character starting off as the prototypical alpha male only to be later revealed as having been in an interracial gay relationship, I figured this would be a sure hit with the hashtag generation.

inb4 this show was only cancelled because of the rampant discrimination against <insert protected group>.
