House of Cards Season 3 (spoiler alert)

I thought season 3 was great, but not as good as season 1 was. They'll probably never capture that again, but I don't care.

Wonder what claire splitting will effect during the election

Claire knows most of Frank's secrets, it would be interesting to see how it affects both of them, too bad they burned that one page.

How do you guys not see the Clinton resemblance? Hillary's lost emails included a paypal payment to the writers. You're going to see Clair mirror Hilary's campaign in the run up to 2016

Looking forward to being called a sexist for the next 8 years after being called a racist since 2008.

Lol. That's so true. You can name a dozen unconstitutional actions taken by Barry and they just get mad and call you a racist. What's even more amusing is those people almost never have even heard about those actions. The best way to win an argument is with name calling.

I actually blame Frank, he should have known this power hungry bitch would bite him one day.

It's Frank's fault for not keeping her on a short leash. Her testing of him has escalated since the first season because he started giving in to her more and more.

It's the same reason why you never negotiate with terrorists. As soon as they get proof that they can manipulate you in that way, they have a ton of incentive to continue doing it.

I was really hoping this would be the final season focusing on his downfall after having achieve total victory. But after the tone set by the first couple episodes I knew there was no way that was happening.

I'm sick of Claire, and her one expression, she's basically the biggest bitch in the universe and I hated how the whole season revolved around their deteriorating relationship. He wouldn't have gotten where he is without her but she keeps sabotaging his efforts at key points in every season. She cancels her own self out and I could do with a lot less of her.

Very little breaking the fourth wall this season.

Was hoping doug was just dead, his whole subplot was terrible. The whole rachel subplot was pointless, nothing would have happened whether he found her or not. I guess it was meant to make us hate doug more but I hated doug well enough all ready.

Russia stuff was a little interesting but amounted to nothing

Don't give a fuck about jackie/remy

Didn't understand his legislative agenda or what his end game is or what he wants. I think this season would have been much better if we started with him being successful and all ready re elected and then the web of his past deed slowly starts to close around him, not whatever this season was. The whole time I was watching I kept saying to myself, ok well something has to happen now right, this is about the time where something has to happen? Nope, not even close. Unless you want to count the pointless killing of rachel or the lousy divorce cliff hanger as something.

It's still a good show, and it's still worth watching but it went from being great to being good. It was always a slow burn but this was just ridiculous. I'm not looking forward to next season.

All I know is that if i have to look at the hole in her fucking neck anymore I'm going to puke. I didn't even have to make this pic, i found it on the googles, so I'm not the only one.

Ehh season 3 just didn't do it for me like 1-2. It was ok, just not what I was expecting.

I just couldnt believe they went to widescreen when remy was banging jackie cause that bbc.....

Agree, Season 1 was brilliant, Season 2 was very good, but began to be slightly repetetive, but Season 3 dropped the ball and seems to have sold out completely to being a social commentary on current events, Putin, gay rights, wage gap. This is honestly what it seems to me, an early campaigning for Hillary Clinton.

Too bad, this show was about sociopaths in politics and a Macbeth machiavellian drama, season 3 was another run of the mill Westwing political propaganda.

I read somewhere that David Fincher was less involved in Season 2 and Season 3 his name as an EP was about the only (creative) involvement he had.

Makes perfect sense. Season 2 and Season 3 are cookie cutter Hollywood and totally lack the style of the first.

I got this series saved in my Netflix. I'm waiting for everything to wrap up so I can watch it all at once.

Spacey has been quoted as saying he thinks it could run for 12 seasons, so you might have a very long wait ahead of you.

We got through it all in the last week, 2 episodes a night while eating dinner. 3 wasn't as good as 1 & 2, I agree, but I was still thoroughly entertained.

Just finished watching.

I think Season 3 was better than Season 2. Truly showing that Frank is willing to do ANYTHING to get what he wants.

Good scene was when he was crying in his office. I loved the tension with the Russian President. He is the one man on the planet Frank has to be careful around. How does the gay stuff even add to his character? They only "touched" on it twice this season.

Claire not playing her role as First Lady doesn't make sense for her character. Why doesn't she just tell Frank she wants to run for President in 8 years after he is done both terms? Frank would obviously agree. Yet she doesn't mention anything like that to him.

I don't like how they ended the season with a relationship issue. Should have been someone finding out dirt on Frank, someone witnessing Doug kill Rachel, some new evidence about the guy he killed in season 1, etc.
