When to head to ASE?

I have never been to an Affiliate Summit and am trying to get my travel plans hashed out.

Initially I thought of coming in the day before the conference and leaving the day after the conference - but because I could save a few bones I was thinking of flying in the day of the conference and be in Boston for around noon and maybe try and hit up the conference for a little bit that day or I can just party.

I only have a hall pass so it's not as if I'm going to be sitting in on any seminars.

Thoughts? Is there anything really going on the night before the conference? I assume two days will be more than enough anyways to take in everything at the conference.

I'd like to hear the opinions of those whom have been there before.

It runs from noon on Sunday through about 5pm on Tuesday.

Lots of informal networking start on Saturday night and I know a lot of people are sticking around through Wed, so they can hit the Red Sox game on Tuesday night.

Does the price include high grade hookers? Or is it a total waste?

Since you got the hall pass, you're mostly going there to network so you'll want to spend at least the night before (Saturday) or the day after (Wed) out there in order to do that. It's only 1 extra night so you might as well.

What I did at ASE was .. I stayed about 4 days before and 2 days after (was there with my ex, made it a vacatino etc.)

It didn't really start until the day before (due to meeting up with other WFers) and the end of the 2nd day I should have left.

That's just me, though. The parties is where you do most of your networking, woooweee!
