Pray tell what dearest Amit said?
Basically just how people here think they're the shit, and they're not. I mean, I guess the guy has to be a bit pissed about any community that makes his image worse than it already is... Then again, I think he looked a lot better in those photoshopped photos than he did in person.
Ohhh I wish we heard him... We had a group of probably 30ish WFers outside the meet (or meat..) market (you know, because we're from a gay affiliate forum).
Yeah, I got in to Boston late and got up to the meet market right when everyone was packing it in for the day. What, no meetup during the exhibit hall next to singlesnet as well?

Who gives a shit, they let in a bunch of guys under 21 again, as usual.
Who?

Epic moments? Other than Amit Mehta talking way too loudly at his lunch table, and bashing WickedFire in the process, not that I saw. Didn't catch much of what he said about WF, but I have a feeling I should've sat down at that table and just had him go on more...

They really need to work on the speakers for the conference though - Most seminars were pretty disappointing, with the exception of Wil Reynold's SEO talk. I stood at the door a bit at Amit Mehta's seminar on secrets of PPC super affiliates, and it was pretty much just basic information, and nothing "secret" at all. No incorrect information given, but that guy's voice is pretty damn annoying.

Not sure if I met any of you guys there, but if anyone was at the bar at the Renaissance on Monday night, I may have.
I actually don't really have anything against Amit. I just find his blog content rather patronising. As for his 'lifestyle' posts, eurghh...

Sorry you missed everyone man. I tried to do my best to meet everyone and get everyone from WF together at some point, but plans don't always work out perfectly.

For affiliates, unfortunately, the sessions are mostly worthless. The biggest value of affiliate summit is going and meeting the other affiliates, which has been very valuable, to me anyway. So maybe next time try to make that the priority and get some phone numbers and stuff beforehand. Just from hanging out with other affiliates at the 2 summits ive been to, i've learned more and gotten more ideas than reading a years worth of forums and blogs and stuff.

Took a little more doing than before.

Haha. I actually talked to a person or two(who shall go unnamed) that had worked with him in the past. Interestingly, they said more or less the same thing about him.

I'm on both the affiliate and advertiser end of things (with one company I work at, and was there with), so I was at session for both sides of the game. Most weren't good for either side. Being there partially with another company limited my time a bit, but I still got to meet and talk to a lot of good affiliates and advertisers/networks. The best information I got was either at the bar, at the morning roundtable discussions on Tuesday, and from a few AMs and advertisers there that I either work with, or used to know from other ventures.

I'm 21, and my ID was checked when I printed my ID on-site. If someone has a fake ID for drinking (in their own name), yes, you would be able to get in when you were under 21.

Epic moments:
On the way down to the Buy.At party [which sucked] with Bofu2U and the Aquasis guys we heard some guys just outside the door asking each other where they get their landing pages from, and we all busted out laughing. When we left shortly there after we where walking past the guys saying how we got ours at Walmart and the such.

Getting lost in Boston because our rookie cab driver didn't know where the strip club was, we almost had to force him to stop so we could yell at people on the street to give us directions.

Sitting in the Philadelphia airport trying to get back to Milwaukee, some lady recognizes the skateboard and starts chatting with me about the ASE. I mentioned WickedFire, and then she told me that it was just a place, "for basically.... people to vent" and recommended I read Digital Point and Shoe Money. Epic!

If I recall, you were at ASW this year too, right? Any feedback on the quality of one versus the other? Same, better, worse, etc.?

ASW is wayyy better than ASE usually from what I've heard.

More people and usually better nightlife (vegas)

True, you can't get a drink in a bar after 2am in Boston and that had a few people in an uproar.
