Just an update. I commented on this guy's sitepoint auction and he deleted it. Asking me to "pm him if I had issue"....

So his statement, " I don't mind the flack." is not exactly true either. At least not on Sitepoint.

He must have high hopes of finding a sucker there.

Anyway, that's about all the energy I'm going to waste on this cat.

If someone does drop the dough on him, they deserve to lose it.

"A fool and his money are soon parted."

dude, do you seriously think someone is going to fall for this ?. :D lol, you are creating a whole new concept in selling websites, some people raise a litte bit the price of their sites on sitepoint based on "potential", but to actually calculate the price based on your imagination is really innovative :D

I bet he used to be an accountant for Enron. They invented "projection accounting", exactly what he says. "In a year, you will earn 8400$ guaranteed, all my models show that. Pay up now."

Zoomer, please go knock up your girlfriend, and sell her to slavery for twice the price. She will be worth double in a year, right? Maybe twins! Triple! Or triplets! Quadruple! Its a bargain.

because that's what 'rich' people make. or so he read in John Fleece's latest "Get Rich By Mindpower Exploitation Pre-Sales Pitching Site-Flipper Strategies"

$48,000 for a crappy blog doing a few hundred a month? Where do I fucking sign?

by the way dweeb, yer blog is screwed. It's all over on the right for some reason.

Hi there, the feedback here on WickedFire has been entertaining, I thank you for that.

When you have a vision, idea, and innovative plan that you know will succeed - the passion enables you to make it happen via the fastest and most effective way possible.

To reach the Nerd Business vision I know the fastest & most effective way to get there is to embark upon the strategy with a qualified investor and long term collaborative partner.

This post and the listing on the SitePoint Marketplace are a result of this passion and the connection to the vision I have for Nerd Business.

There have been a number of interested persons but still no official bids to immediately take full ownership of NerdBusiness.com, Nintega.com, the 12 months of content contribution with 76 articles and 6 professionally written books, and the innovative strategy I will deploy to ensure the revenue objectives are achieved.

I feel the value is there. Yet the barrier of entry is quite high given the investment. I understand that $10 to $48k is a lot to invest up front.

Therefore I'd like to convey to any interested persons that the pricing terms are negotiable. Rather than pay the full amount up front, I suggest we split the payment into installments that are awarded upon the achievement of specific milestones. For example, when the site reaches x in monthly revenue a milestone payment is due. And so on.

This gives you the the advantage of not having to make a large up front investment while still receiving full value.

Contact me by PM or via SitePoint if you're interested. I invite you to join me - and embark upon this opportunity.

And if you have just want to share some constructive feedback, feel free to do so here on WF.

Thanks,
Derrick Schwabe

gee, $48 big ones for a worthless blog, '76 articles' (value $200 tops, 8 cents if I use the 'boss content generator), '65 professionally written ebooks' (value zero, unless you have sales figures for them already) and an 'innovative strategy' you will 'deploy to 'promote it'

how about you 'deploy off' to digital point or wherever else you crawled out from, and go bother the other lamer/loser/waster/slackers, fuckwit.

why $8400/mo estimated revenue?
so that you can multiply it by 12 and call it six figures blog?

I'm sure that's exactly what it is bramzero.

The problem is that any site doing 100k in revenue per year does not mean the site owner sees that money in his (or her as our auctioneer did forget to include web mistresses) pocket.

I do happen to own websites that do six figures plus in yearly revenue and can tell you that it's just like any bricks and mortar business. There are bills to pay. So an $8400 per month gross can in fact still mean an overall loss to the site owner, depending on the 'innovative' methods used to generate the income....

So even the "$300" per month he claims to be making now might actually be a lot less without some hard numbers. with a tiny bit of due diligence and a quick search right here on this forum, you can see that some of the traffic statistic buildup was probably due to stumbleupon traffic bought right here from this forum. Making even the numbers the site has now shaky at best.

Sorry guys and girls. This site is not some sort of enigma that took the world by storm. It's just another extremely well written sales pitch without much backing it up.

Just my two cents.

Dude, you need to hit up some small time angel investors or uncle Mick for that kinda money. Most Wicked Fire members barely have $25 in free google adwords credit to invest. I admire your idea and brashness though.........bravo

did you confuse WF & DP?

ha......haha..... :) i like this guy, spell check and all - someone should hire this guy to write articals for them. tell him all he has to do is give you 50k and in return you can contract him up 8k a month for as long as he keeps writeing this crap.

did anyone actualy read all of it? i stoped after the first %25
