The Obama Deception

Are you seriously telling me that when something coincidental happens you automatically adopt a conspiracy theory just because you refuse to believe that it could be a coincidence? You have to take things on a case-by-case basis dude.
Maybe so, but what I'm saying is that at this point there is no replacement. There is NOTHING you can do about it bar assassination, so either load up them guns or stfu.
Every time I heard Alex Jones, I think of this:

When it comes to "conspiracy theories" I believe there are people like Alex Jones and people like our very own Guerilla. People who try to create bad guys we can point fingers at, and people who look at things in a more rational manner. In other words, people who try to profit off of fear, and people who operate with clarity and focus. A lot of what people consider conspiracy has a lot of validity to it. The fear mongers rob their topics of their validity and make it easier for people to write off and ignore.
Someone said earlier that this forum doesn't like Obama, and doesn't seem to like McCain much either. That's a good place to start. The better viewpoint is to understand that politicians want to appear to serve the general population only so far as doing so will make them happy and complacent. Then they go and serve their real masters. The "special interests" which funded their campaigns. These special interests are not Dr Evil. They are just those who benefit from the status quo, who have a vested interest in the status quo remaining so.
What scares me is people who shit in the conspiracy theory punch bowl, making the whole damn thing unappetizing for the majority of people to investigate. The reality is less dramatic than the conspiracy theory fantasies peddled by Alex Jones and those like him, but far less profitable. The reality is that there are people who have power and desire more. They do unscrupulous thing to achieve and retain that power. But this isn't some James Bond flick, or a post-apocalyptic schlock movie. The reality is far more pedestrian. Those in power know that the general populous has, even at this moment, the power to tear them down. So they manuver, slowly and methodically, to work against threats to their power.
This was, is, and always will be (appropriately enough) a war over the control of information. The strongest strategy in any war is spreading misinformation. The more people allow themselves to fantasize about outlandish schemes and plots by evil geniuses, the less opportunity they will have to deal with the real problems that really stand before us.
It's like walking down a dark alley, worrying about flying martian ninjas, while disregarding the very real threat of a two-bit thug with a rusty knife.

The first step to freedom is waking up and knowing what is going on. This thread and the coming video will help people understand what is really happening to their country. Also knowing what is really going on means people could better protect themselves by not falling for all this shitty propaganda e.g. protecting oneself against hyper inflation etc.

Anyone can be made ridiculous by repeating a small clip over and over again, or string isolated clips together.

The Obama vid is to demonstrate my statement. I never said you cared for Obama. You just assume I believed that and you also assumed I am passionate about Alex Jones. What I am interested in is the truth. What Alex talks about has the backing of facts and also I do look things up. Wake up, I'm a sheeple? I can't think for myself? I gather information and then look at it to see a clearer picture, then I decide what to do about it. A sheeple is a person that lets information bombard them including propaganda and don't investigate fuck all but just follow the herd.

Being silent and "shut the fuck up" is just like keeping your head in the sand. People need to know about what is happening. Anyway, you don't have to listen to me nor anyone else, I try to get informed and i would encourage others to get informed also.
Actually, we're taught to reject conspiracy and treat it as kooky. We're taught to believe there is a perfectly reasonable expectation for everything, EVERYTHING.
I'm not a coincidence theorist. I like to kick the tires. Look under the hood. I mix mayonnaise with other salad dressings. I rarely match my socks. I'm not trying to order everything up so it makes sense. I'm pulling at the wallpaper to figure out if I am on the Truman show or if this is as real as it gets.
So no, I don't think everything is a conspiracy. But I also don't believe "what everyone else thinks" or the first explanation I am given. I try to be a critical thinker. I don't want to be told, I want to understand.
I do understand that politicians do not have an incentive to tell the truth, or to balance budgets. I do know that a lot of their funding doesn't come from the people (even less since campaign reform, surprise surprise) but from the very groups who seem to keep growing at the expense of everyone else.
Now maybe that is coincidence. And maybe I would live longer, more happily and get more work done if I didn't ask questions. But I'm not wired like that. If I have a question, I need an answer.
Let's watch it and then judge.

I watched this tonight. It was pretty good. If you listen to AJ or follow Infowars, there is not much new material, but I thought it was one of AJ's more watchable films if you were to distribute it to others who have never considered any of it. AJ didn't go crazy with the hyperbole. Some of it is over the top, but nothing like Endgame, which left me sleepless and paranoid after watching it.
There were still some gay bits, like Alex bullhorning, or Luke from NY bullhorning Bilderberg. I don't know if they realize how queer they look doing that.
Definitely worth a watch if you like conspiracy stuff, or even if you are really into politics. Probably a lot of Obama and general politics factoids most people don't know.

I will also watch this tonight. However, as far as intelligent conversation on the matter from both sides of the fence, I don't think that's likely to happen here. In general, people are only interested in information that reinforces and reaffirms their own beliefs. Luckily for me, I have no belief (but I believe I'm a walking contradiction).
