Sam Adams Boston Lager and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale are my mainstays, the Sierra Nevada Porter also kicks ass.

At the very top of my list is the Stone IPA and Stone Pale Ale.

my other fav's

DFH 90/120
Harpoon IPA
Wolaver's Oatmeal Stout
Chimay Grande Reserve
Flying Dog Imperial Porter
Avery's American IPA (unfortunately, still waiting to get a hold of the Maharaja)

Since I reminded myself how much I love that Croatian beer, Karlovačko, I decided to rush out to the local store that carries it before they closed. I looked everywhere and had nearly given up when I spotted a dusty, unmarked box in the corner near the beer aisle that contained five 24oz bottles (I'm assuming they're about 24oz).

Of course I had to buy all of them.

Mine are Magic Hat #9 (Vermont/ East Coast), Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Sam Adams, Rogue Dead Guy Ale.
Those are all beers I'll get on a semi-regular basis. Rogue has some great beers, including the Dead Guy Ale & their Mocha Porter. I can get Magic Hat #9 in St. Louis, so it might reach further than you thought. When I'm back on the east coast, I try to get Brooklyn Lager if I can.

Unibrou (Canada) makes a number of really strong and complex beers, and I'm a fan of a few of theirs. When I can get it (not in St. Louis) Stone's Arrogant Bastard is a great beer to give you a kick in the ass and the taste buds. Dogfish Head (East Coast, mainly) has a great variety for a micro-brewery, and one of my favorites from them that's only in limited production is their Palo Santo Marron. That's a pretty heavy, somewhat thick dark beer that's been aged with a South American wood for a while, and has one of the richest and most unique flavors out of any beer I've tried.

On the really cheap end, I prefer Bud Light. It might be the whole St. Louis thing, but no Bud Light has tasted as good as the stuff I had straight out of the holding tank in a 36 degree room in their brewery in St. Louis...

Back in Vancouver the options are numerous, Okanagen Spring Pale Ale, Okanagen Spring Lager, Okanagen Spring Blonde Ale, the same from Granville Island Breweries, and again from Shaftebury... but their honey ale is especially good too. OK Springs ftw there though. I drank many litres of that stuff every week.

I also enjoy a good stout with the obvious choice being Guiness. I also like other creamy uk pints like Boddingtons, Kilkenny, and Newcastle Brown also goes down nicely. A nice wheat beer with lemon or Corona with lime is nice on a hot summer day... and we have lots of those around these parts.

Here in Spain the choices are far fewer so I drink mostly Amstel, Mahou, Heineken and Stella. I steer right clear of the two main Spanish beers, San Miguel and Cruzcampo if I can help it, though Cruzcampo is far more drinkable than San Miguel which uspets my stomach.

Basically if it's got "beer" written on the can in any language I'll drink it though.
