NEW Facebook Ads

I've noticed the same discrepancies between charged and reported clicks.
On the top of that i also do have non geographic targeted users (for example peoples from Norway when your demographic is focused United States).

It's good to know that apparently they're doing something i just hope that it's true and that we'll see results of these investigations pretty soon.

But when you see FB policies about artificial minimum CPC i do personally consider that they are on the same side as the MF doing click fraud.

It's going to be pretty shameful on Facebook's part now if they don't refund the money. Especially if they're seen to of gone after the perpetrators. I've spent a fair bit of money with them in the last few months and knew some days the traffic was questionable.

Surely it will still be fraud for facebook to use the "if you know about it and have the traffic logs to prove it, we'll refund you" scenario?

Of course I should keep my fingers crossed for the best possible resolution which is a massive credit or repayment for the fake traffic. In the end it won't actually cost facebook if they just credit my account but boosts CPC for them.

I am getting 20% fraud clicks. I don't know should I pause or not since I am still making money.

why pause? you have a problem with earning money?

now if you was losing money...

If you are seeing 15% discrepancy between what 202 is reporting and what you are seeing in facebook - guess what, it's because prosper doesn't record 100% of clicks. The discrepancy is because of the 202 tracking system, not facebook. As far as the fraud incoming clicks from Netscape - that's some weird shit. I would like to hear an official response from Facebook about this..

You are wrong.

Although Prosper202 may not record 100% of clicks, it does not leave out 15%-25% of clicks. I have verified this by using multiple tracking programs simultaneously.

All the tracking programs I have tried give me similar results to prosper202. Sure, there may be a 20 click discrepancy, but not a 20% discrepancy.

This is experienced by not just those that use 202. When in doubt, look at your raw apache logs - which I did. The result: 15% - 20% clicks never make it to my LP. Clearly a case of click-fraud going on. Tested on 3 different servers at 3 different DCs (not a network issue).

you are so wrong its not even funny

and in other news, one of my friends just forwarded me an email he got from facebook. Not about the problems of course but instead something this awesome:

Hello,

I wanted to reach out to you today to let you know there could be potential fluctuations in your ad delivery on Monday for specific ads targeted to females in the US. We got word that an advertiser is coming in on Monday with a significant bid that will use the majority of inventory targeted to females in the US. If you are targeting this set, your impressions will be impacted for this one day. If your target includes this set (is not targeted exclusively), your ad should not be impacted.

In addition, We'd like to reconnect with you to see if I could help improve your Facebook advertising experience for your future ad campaigns. In the last few weeks, we’ve released a number of new product features including:

I'm done with facebook. I can't even begin to describe how fucked up that is.

LoL, that is so fucking gay. "You will get jack shit for just this one day because we have a big player that wants to suckup all the adspace for that day. You'll just have to suck it up for then".

Unprofessionalism and lack of transparency at it's best.

one thing i've learned is that it seems like lowering bids = way more bullshit apps.facebook.com traffic.

The only way we can get this fixed up as soon as possible is to start a facebook group, and get as many people to join as possible. Then send the group link to all the big tech news sites and mass digg it to get some attention from the media. As of now I stopped my 5 digits daily spending because the profit margin just went shit.

No one from the media is going to give a flying fuck that a few people need to pay a little bit more for advertising, and they're not going to understand it either.
