NEW Facebook Ads

Wtf is up with that FB email. I got it too. I found it weird that they even mentioned it. Did they strike some special deal with the advertise who will pay a certain bid amount, why would they bother telling us? I guess we will see who this advertiser is when they launch.

I thought it was cool they at least gave us a heads up about Monday. Basically the advertiser is bidding so ridiculously high that they are going to dominate Monday. I wonder who it is. Bing maybe?

No doubt they are going to see a massive discrepancy in their clicks.

Tracking 202 is telling me 11 clicks....Facebook is telling me 145. That's way off the 15-20%, is there a different margin for tracking 202 than there is prosper 202 or did I suffer from one of those click bots?

Ok Great. I direct link the offer just to make sure

Facebook: 0.2% CTR 165 clicks
Network: 105 clicks

It was still early when I paused this ads.

you are so wrong its not even funny

and in other news, one of my friends just forwarded me an email he got from facebook. Not about the problems of course but instead something this awesome:

Hello,

I wanted to reach out to you today to let you know there could be potential fluctuations in your ad delivery on Monday for specific ads targeted to females in the US. We got word that an advertiser is coming in on Monday with a significant bid that will use the majority of inventory targeted to females in the US. If you are targeting this set, your impressions will be impacted for this one day. If your target includes this set (is not targeted exclusively), your ad should not be impacted.

In addition, We'd like to reconnect with you to see if I could help improve your Facebook advertising experience for your future ad campaigns. In the last few weeks, we’ve released a number of new product features including:

....

I'm done with facebook. I can't even begin to describe how fucked up that is.
Have the bid prices already spiked for you guys as well for this type of traffic? I've seen my suggested bid almost double overnight.

since 15-20% of the traffic won't hit your server (or the network) this isn't surprising.

Sucks how high the numbers are today. Its clear the problem is getting worse daily.

I've moved most of my shit off facebook for the time being and magically my shit is all positive again.

Crazy how that works. There are lots of places to buy traffic, some that will even actually give you the traffic you are paying for.

Facebook is never going to admit to whats going on. I can almost guarantee you that.

I had suggested bids as high as 91 cents last week for certain 500k + demos. There is no way on earth that's from natural bidding / click patterns.

Yeah that's about what I'm seeing now - Crap. Loved Face book but I guess I'll have to put it down for now. Changing all my bids to .03 until the click bots and crazy prices blow over.

Its really nice being profitable again this weekend by not running my old ads on facebook.

I should have done this long ago. Thank you click fraud monkeys and thank you facebook incompetence.

Are FB interns super poking each other or what? ....motherfuckin' 10hrs since I submittted some ads and still waiting. Do they take Sundays off or what?

After about 12 hours, my two legit ads were finally approved. Impressions haven't even started though. Usually it floods in super quick. Anyone know what's going on?

Unless your ROI is really high, whats the point of running ads if Facebook is going to screw you on the clicks anyway.

I ran a campaign this morning, I got 197 actual visitors. Facebook charged me for 403 clicks. What the fuck.

Looks like TNT is taking all the female demo Facebook traffic today. I saw all 3 locations with a different TNT ad and when you check the ad board, the only thing there is one more TNT ad.
