Audit the Federal Reserve Bank?

Paul has been beating this drum for years. He's gaining support, both in the Congress and among the populace. It's tragic that it has taken this long to shine a light on that cesspool (the Fed, not the Congress).

Even now, most people I meet have little idea regarding what the Fed does and the long-term damage it causes. Surprising since its effects reverberate throughout society. Housing prices, employment, investments, gas prices, interest rates, stability of the currency... that's merely scratching the surface.

I suspect Paul's bill will fail. But, the publicity might prove valuable for efforts to audit the Fed in the years to come. Thank goodness. That counterfeiting monstrosity should have been dismantled a long time ago.

I think this has been needed for a long time and I am glad Ron Paul is finally getting some support on this. It is pretty outrageous that we let someone move around trillions of dollars in our money without any type of accountability. The Fed Chairman Bernanke just said the other day that there is around 500mil that was accidentally sent to banks based overseas. That is our tax money that was sent to banks in Dubai and Ireland and who else knows where money went since no one can see.

Back in 1999, Paul told the House that the original list of Federal crimes was short. It included treason, piracy, and wait for it... counterfeiting.

Shameful. Sadly, those who should feel the most shame often feel none at all.

I don't understand why the internet likes Ron Paul so much. Sure he's a libertarian, and if you're into that kind of thing I get the appeal. But he is also anti gay marriage and doesn't believe in evolution, two things the internet generally strongly defends.

Most people aren't going to agree with 100% of any politician's views. While I don't agree with Paul on a lot of things, I think he is a true revolutionary with bills such as this one. It won't get passed, though, because all of the true corrupticians are afraid of what it will reveal.

He's not anti-gay marriage. He is fine with any civil union, as long as it is voluntary. He doesn't believe the state has a role in telling you who you can sex up or get married to.

Also, his personal views on evolution aren't that radical since the entire governmental system is based on a Constitution written by men who believed in God and a natural rights based ethical system.

Is the internet a person? The internet is made up of million of views some regular views and some crazy. The internet does not have a consensus view its going by and like other's have pointed out Ron Paul is not anti-gay marriage he is for civil unions which gives rights the same just doesn't call it marriage as that is a religious term.
