Wow can you imagine the self-censorship taking over a parent's every decision. Kinda like taking pictures at a birthday party "hrm this angle seems too sexual, let me try this one". After a while the same people that would gasp at an old artistic nude of a child, would be no different than a pedophile, that is to say while one is repulsed by the image or idea, and the other attracted, both sexualized the image/instance.

Though oddly in real news there was talks about the holloween selection marketed to kids such as fishnet socking and such.

The costume is called "The Ravager." The model wears fishnet stockings, a choker with chains on it, a black and red buckled bodice and a lipsticked pout.
It comes in sizes small enough for a 5-year-old.

The "Lovely Lolita" costume is for teens. The short kimono costume is pictured with thigh high stockings. "Lolita" is a classic novel about a pedophile and is named for the girl with whom he is obsessed.

I really like the outfit, but on anyone under 16, it's pretty fucking wrong.

It's not half as slutty as some of the stuff that's being directly marketed at preteen kids these days, but even I'm going to say it's a bit too "sexy" for a preteen to be wearing without someone seriously questioning the parents' sense of decorum or appropriateness when it comes to raising the kids.
